Plan The Music Video Before Generating
- Pick one format: a short vertical clip for social posting, or a longer horizontal sequence.
- Mark three musical moments: an opening image, the first hook, and the strongest beat drop or chorus.
- Prepare 6–12 phone clips with a consistent subject, movement or colour. Keep one clip for each planned musical change.
- Decide whether the video needs vocals, an instrumental bed, or both. Instrumental stems make it easier to lower drums under spoken sections.
Generate A Track With A Video-Focused Prompt
- Open your chosen tool and start a new song or beat.
- Describe the visual purpose, musical structure and edit points together. Example vocal prompt: “Cinematic electropop for a night ride filmed on a Xiaomi phone, intimate verse, memorable eight-second chorus hook, clean drum drop at 0:24, bright synths, clear lead vocal, lyrics about city lights, finish with a short instrumental tail.”
- For a non-vocal track, use: “Energetic trap instrumental for a Redmi street montage, 100 BPM feel, four-bar intro, bass drop at 0:16, crisp hi-hats for speed-ramped cuts, eight-bar chorus, clean ending.” Treat tempo wording as creative direction; the tools’ entries do not establish a guaranteed BPM or exact duration.
- Generate several versions. Keep the one whose hook, drop and ending give you obvious places to change shots.

Use remixing and separated-stem export to make a version with a lighter intro for title cards and a fuller section for the reveal. The Free option limits generated tracks to 30 seconds, so check the plan before building a longer timeline.
Udio
Refine lyrics, blend voice references, extend or transform sections, then use Sessions for timeline work. Because downloads are disabled during the transition period, verify that you can obtain the audio you need before committing to the edit.

Assemble The Video On Your Xiaomi Phone
- Open your phone’s video editor and create a project in the same orientation you planned.
- Import the generated audio first, then place the strongest visual clip at the first hook or drop.
- Cut on clear drum hits, snare accents or lyric phrases. Use longer shots during verses and shorter shots during dense rhythmic sections.
- Trim each clip instead of stretching it. If the ending feels abrupt, use the song’s instrumental tail or a short fade available in your editor.
- Keep speech, ambient sound and music on separate tracks when the editor supports that arrangement. Lower the music under speech so lyrics remain understandable.
- Preview the complete sequence with headphones, check that the first frame appears after the audio starts, and export at the resolution your editor offers for your target platform.
Rights And Voice Checks Before Posting
- Use lyrics, voice references and uploaded audio only when you have permission from the people and rights holders involved. Do not imitate a real person’s voice without consent.
- Suno’s Free Plan does not include commercial rights. Eleven Music is not needed for this workflow; if you use another service later, read that service’s commercial-use terms.
- Loudly says paid licensing rights depend on the plan, and Udio’s current transition affects downloads. Check the vendor terms immediately before publishing or monetising.
- Keep a note of the tool, plan, prompt and export date so you can match the finished video to the permission terms that applied when you created it.
Fix Common Music-Video Problems
- The chorus arrives too late: regenerate with an explicit short intro and a named drop time, then cut the opening visuals to match.
- The video feels repetitive: reserve stems for contrast: reduce drums for a close-up, restore the full mix for a wide shot.
- The edit drifts off beat: shorten clips at repeated drum hits instead of relying on automatic transitions.
- You cannot finish the export: check plan limits first. Udio currently disables downloads, Loudly’s free generations stop at 30 seconds, and Suno’s Free Plan excludes stem separation.
