Overview

1tap receipts is a receipt-extraction and bookkeeping service for people who need organized expense records for tax claims or accounting. Receipts can be added by photographing them or forwarding them from email. The service extracts details such as supplier, date, amount and category, and says that people verify the extracted information.

Records can be sorted by tax year or upload date, viewed and edited, annotated with notes, and divided between business and personal expenses. Receipt records and their data can be exported as PDF or CSV files for Self Assessment or an audit. The product identifies self-employed people as its audience, including musicians, doctors, street performers, trainers, designers, photographers and mechanics.

The privacy policy identifies 1Tap App Limited, at 99 Clifton Street, London EC2A 4LG, as the data controller. It says user information is stored on Amazon Web Services servers in the European Economic Area, while some extraction team members outside that area can access uploaded content. The policy also says personal data will not be disclosed, sold or shared with non-authorized third parties except as described in the policy.
