Witty Comics

What Witty Comics is

Witty Comics is a free web-based comic maker for creating and publishing comics with scenes, characters, narration, dialogue, and speech styles. Its listed tools include panel layouts, speech balloons, and a character library, but not illustration tools. Account signup is free and uses a username and email address; usernames may contain letters, numbers, and underscores and appear beside published comics. The site says it emails the account password to the signup address. Published comics can appear in a public archive listing creators. Comic pages offer voting, inappropriate-content flagging, XML viewing, and a printer-friendly view. Users can delete comics from their profile, although the FAQ says deleted comics are gone. Rules prohibit discriminatory content, hate speech, personal information, and material considered unsuitable for a newspaper. Administrators may remove comics or ban users, and each person may have one account.
