What VSeeFace is

VSeeFace is a free, configurable program for puppeteering avatars, aimed at virtual YouTubers. Webcam tracking covers eye gaze, blinking, eyebrows and mouth movement. It supports VRM 0 and its VSFAvatar format, but not VRM 1.0 or Live2D models. VSFAvatar models can use Unity features such as custom animations, shaders, dynamic bones and constraints. Optional hand tracking requires a Leap Motion device. Through the VMC protocol, VSeeFace can send, receive and combine tracking data; it also supports input from listed phone apps including iFacialMocap, FaceMotion3D, VTube Studio and MeowFace. The site describes transparent capture using OBS game capture, Spout2 and a virtual camera, but says chroma keying is unsupported. The maker says tracking runs on the PC and camera data is not transmitted online. The program checks the site for update information but does not update automatically. It is listed for 64-bit Windows 8 and above; Linux use through Wine may have limitations, and models do not currently render properly on macOS through Wine. The terms describe the software as beta and provided as-is.
