What TapToon is
TapToon is an Android app that turns selfies into cartoon portraits, anime avatars, 3D characters, action-figure looks and short animated videos. Users can improve photo clarity, lighting and detail before applying a style. Animated avatars and toon videos are available for selected effects, with availability depending on style and device capabilities. The maker presents TapToon for profile pictures, social posts, creator branding, stickers, stories, messaging reactions and clips for Instagram, TikTok, Reels and Shorts. Selected photos are sent to TapToon’s server for processing and deleted within seven days, according to its privacy policy. Facial recognition detects points in submitted images for enhancement, and the app may collect device and diagnostic information. Google Play says it may share app information and performance data, collect photos, videos and app activity, and encrypt data in transit. TapToon is freemium; paid subscription features include photo enhancement and ad removal. Prices vary, purchases use Google Play, and subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
