What taktjam is

taktjam brings lesson scheduling, make-up lesson tracking, invoicing and a student practice space together for self-employed music teachers and small private music schools. Its scheduling assistant gathers availability from students or parents through passwordless links, then proposes recurring schedules that avoid conflicts. Teachers can keep student records, track attendance and manage recurring lessons. Students and parents can use a browser-based space for notes, homework, recordings, materials and messages. Invoices support Austria, Germany and Switzerland, with Swiss invoices available in CHF and as a QR bill. The calendar provides an ICS feed, and school SEPA direct debit supports a pain.008 bank export. Takti, its AI assistant, uses Mistral AI in the EU; conversations are not stored. Application data is processed on EU servers, with Frankfurt hosting and a data processing agreement. Messages use application-level AES-256-GCM encryption, which is not end-to-end encryption. The 30-day trial needs no card and does not start a paid subscription automatically; afterward the account becomes read-only until a plan is chosen.
