SSRN
SSRN is an open research platform for sharing early-stage work and connecting scholars across academic fields.
What SSRN is
SSRN is an open research platform for sharing early-stage work and connecting scholars across academic fields. Its free web platform provides access to preprints, working papers, abstracts, gray literature, book reviews, multimedia files, datasets, and conference proceedings; almost all research is free to download. Advanced Search supports fuzzy and Boolean modes, searches across titles, abstracts, keywords, full text, and authors, and offers date filters and sorting. To submit a paper, you need a free SSRN account and a PDF file. SSRN says it intends to remain publisher-neutral and serve researchers across disciplines. Several commercial services—including Research Paper Series, Sponsored Networks and Site Subscriptions, and Data Analytics Dashboards—are scheduled to close by the end of December 2026. Existing contracts will be honored through their term or until December 31, 2026, whichever comes first; SSRN will not take new customers for those products. Content from discontinued services will remain archived and accessible.
