Singularity
Singularity is Vaonis’s free mobile app for controlling its Stellina, Vespera and Hyperia telescopes.
What Singularity is
Singularity is Vaonis’s free mobile app for controlling its Stellina, Vespera and Hyperia telescopes. Users can select an object from a catalog or enter celestial coordinates for automatic pointing and tracking. The app combines successive images as they arrive to reveal more detail and color. CovalENS stitches images of a stellar region into a wider view, while Solar Mode supports observing and photographing sunspots when used with a Vaonis solar filter. Space Center brings together weather forecasts, saved observation locations, telescope settings, astronomy news and advice. Expert Mode offers coordinate pointing and controls for exposure time and gain for later manual image processing. Plan My Night can schedule unattended observations; photos are retrieved by USB for Stellina or Wi-Fi FTP for Vespera. Users can save observation points, keep photos on a device or Vaonis Cloud, and add skywatching events to a calendar. An account is required, and internet access is needed during download and use. Most features require a connected Vaonis telescope.

Who it suits
