It controls how web content loads by blocking ads, including pop-ups and video ads, as well as scripts that track activity across pages and websites. It can also hide chat widgets, cookie and newsletter banners, notification prompts, subscription overlays and AI widgets. Custom rules let users block or allow websites and content, hide page elements, strip cookies or force HTTPS. Separate profiles can be made for Wi-Fi, cellular browsing or family use, and shared with friends. The iPhone page lists 322K+ built-in rules, including rules for ads, trackers, annoyances and global coverage; additional ad-blocking rules cover non-English websites in 37 languages. Optional iCloud sync shares profiles and settings among Mac, iPhone and iPad, and is off by default. Roadblock says it does not collect personal information and that its extensions do not access browsing activity. It works on iOS 15 and above and macOS Big Sur 11 or above. A free plan is available; Premium Yearly is listed at $5.99 a year.
