What RimModManager is
RimModManager is a free, open-source tool for organizing RimWorld mods across Steam, GOG, Proton, Wine, Flatpak, and standalone installations, with platform-specific detection options. It lets users build and load profiles, reorder mods by drag and drop, search and filter them, and sort by dependencies. Activation uses symlinks without modifying the mods; Proton and Wine use copy mode because symlinks do not work across those boundaries.
A built-in Steam Workshop browser supports queued and batch downloads, collection parsing, update checks, and subscriber and rating information. Workshop downloads require SteamCMD, though the wiki says anonymous downloads do not require a Steam login. The conflict resolver identifies clashes and suggests fixes, and the app backs up before major changes. Users can import or export ModsConfig.xml and export a text mod list with Workshop links. The app is available for Linux, macOS, and Windows. PyQt6-WebEngine is optional for the embedded browser, and collections of 500 or more mods may take time to scan.
