What Photokeep is
Photokeep is a cloud photo backup and storage service available on iOS, macOS, Windows, and the web. It offers automatic backup or a manual mode for selecting batches, with photos syncing in the background. The service lists batch downloads to a device and access anywhere, and says download speeds are unlimited and not tier-throttled. Its free plan provides 5 GB+ of cloud storage without a credit card or trial. Paid options include 50GB, 200GB, and 500GB plans billed monthly or yearly. Photokeep says it has no ads or push notifications. Face recognition uses Apple Vision on the device, and the service says facial data is never uploaded. It also offers a public decryption channel for independently checking encrypted data and says only the user holds the key. The iPhone app requires iOS 18.0 or later; Android is marked as coming soon. App privacy disclosures say purchases, contact information, and identifiers may be linked to a user, while photos or videos may be collected without being linked.
