What NTT Cloud Fax is
NTT Cloud Fax is a web-based service for sending and receiving faxes through email, with a virtual fax number and international faxing. Incoming faxes arrive as PDF attachments, while outgoing faxes can be sent as attachments, in an email body, or both. The service supports DOC, PDF, XLS, PPT, and TXT files and sends email notices for successful or failed delivery. Customer email must use Microsoft Exchange or Gmail, connected through an SMTP connector. Each line includes up to five outgoing fax email addresses by default. Outgoing faxes to destinations including the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and Japan are included in the per-line service; other destinations are charged per minute. NTT prohibits fax blasting and other high-volume or multi-person faxing, and the service does not work with analogue fax devices. Pricing is on request, with monthly recurring line charges and no prorating. NTT also lists 24-hour, year-round English-language support for elements under its control. It recommends TLS for the SMTP connector and states that personal data stored at rest for over an hour is encrypted using AES-256.
