What Memento is

Memento provides Group Videos and Shared Albums for collecting memories with other people. For a Group Video, an organizer gathers contributors’ clips, arranges and edits them, then adds options such as colors, music, text, photos, and captions. There is no stated clip limit, and a finished video can contain up to 60 minutes of content. Memento says users can redo a video without an extra fee, but completing and sharing one requires a subscription; a Platinum Subscription enables MP4 downloads. Shared Albums collect group photos, allow submissions through QR codes, support review and approval, and can produce customizable slideshows. New customers can try Shared Albums for three days, with up to 10 photos during the trial, after which a paid subscription begins. Group Video clips and finished videos are private by default, with sharing managed through a unique viewing link. Contributors can be invited by email, phone number, or a shareable link, and can record on smartphones, computers, or tablets. Shared Albums work on any device. Memento offers an iPhone app for both features; its App Store listing requires iOS 16.0 or later.
