What Komment is

Komment is an application security platform for codebases, available on the web, through an API, or as a self-hosted deployment. It identifies vulnerabilities, security hotspots, reliability risks, architectural weaknesses, and technical debt. Teams can begin with more than 20 ready-made policies and add custom rules for additional coverage. Reports include source evidence and suggested fixes, while scan comparisons show new findings, resolved findings, and areas where risk is accumulating. Komment provides MCP and API access to reports and findings for internal tooling. It can sync source code and repositories from GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket, with automatic updates. Results can appear in a centralized searchable wiki, as comments in code, or as Markdown files delivered through a pull request. Komment Cloud costs $20 a month, with managed inference billed separately at provider cost and itemized monthly. A free plan and 30-day trial are listed, and the first scan is on the company. Access is described as early access.
