Just Captions adds styled captions to videos and exports captioned video for sharing. It can generate captions in more than 50 languages and translate them into more than 33. Users can edit caption text or use AI Correct to fix misheard words. The site describes 15 caption styles, including Emoji, Mega, Word Highlight, and Highlight Box, alongside burn-in captions and brand caption presets. The free app offers three videos a day with a watermark and does not require a card. Its Free plan includes on-device caption generation. The browser tool accepts MP4 and MOV files and processes the first 60 seconds locally; agent video tools render previews and export MP4 on the user's computer. The API returns timed captions in SRT, VTT, or JSON. API recognition uploads extracted audio, while correction, translation, and emoji selection send caption text; offline recognition keeps media on the machine. Pro plans remove watermarks, add animated styles and higher export quality, and include 600 AI caption minutes per month, though no price is listed for those plans. The open-source MCP, CLI, renderer, and style catalog are MIT licensed, and MCP support is offered for Codex and Claude Code.
