What Hostless is
Hostless is a developer-focused platform as a service that builds and runs repository-based software without requiring customers to operate infrastructure. It supports web apps, background workers, cron jobs, managed databases and static sites. Long-running applications can use Node.js, Python, Ruby, PHP, Go or Rust, with no cold starts or execution timeout. Managed PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Redis databases include automatic TLS. Connections to GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket support deployment on each push; self-hosted Gitea, Forgejo and Gogs are available in an opt-in beta. The platform also offers automatic SSL and HTTPS, pull-request previews, searchable logs, metrics and deployment rollbacks. An HTTP API and remote MCP server connect with Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor. Scoped API keys can be read-only, writable or deletable, revoked independently, and shown in full only once. The Free plan costs nothing forever, with one always-on app, one worker, one cron job, unlimited static sites and a never-expiring database. Its shared allowance is 0.5 vCPU, 1 GiB RAM and 256 MiB storage. Unleashed costs $15 a month per resource.

Verdict
Hostless combines repository deployments, managed services and developer integrations in one web platform. The free tier is usable for small workloads, while larger usage adds per-resource billing.
