What Formidable is

Formidable is a cloud-based form builder that uses natural-language descriptions to generate forms. Conditional logic can show, hide, or require fields based on answers and expressions. Computed fields evaluate in real time to produce weighted scores, boolean outcomes, or formatted results, and business rules can determine whether a submission should be approved, rejected, or escalated. Forms can be hosted, shared by link, embedded in an iframe, and connected to webhooks for receiving submissions. Formidable also offers a JSON REST API and the open-source Forma React library for rendering form specifications in a custom interface. Its privacy policy says account, form, and submission data are stored within the European Union. It says generation prompts may be processed by Anthropic, but respondent and submission data are not sent to AI services. The Free plan costs nothing and includes one published form and 1,000 submissions/month. Starter costs $15 a month and includes unlimited forms and 5,000 submissions/month. Submissions beyond a plan’s monthly limit are not accepted until the next billing cycle unless the user upgrades.
