What Fontshare is
Fontshare is a free font service from the Indian Type Foundry, with fonts for personal and commercial use. Its collection includes ITF-designed families and fonts from other publishers that ITF reviews, fixes when needed, and releases in updated versions. Browse using filters for category, properties, personality, size, city, excerpt, or name, and sort by new, popular, hot, or alphabetical. Fontshare offers closed-source fonts governed by the ITF Free Font License and open-source fonts under the SIL Open Font License. Formats covered by the ITF license include OTF, TTF, WOFF, WOFF2, and variable fonts. Fonts can be delivered through the Fontshare API or hosted on your own infrastructure, including with CSS @font-face. Permitted uses include print, websites, mobile and desktop apps, digital images, advertising, video, broadcasting, and games. The license prohibits altering font software without prior written consent. The API has no guarantee of availability or performance and may be changed or discontinued. The free plan is $0.00 USD, with personal and commercial use for an unlimited period.
