What Dishboard is
Dishboard is a web app for small food businesses to calculate dish costs and understand gross profit across dine-in and delivery. For each menu item, it combines ingredients, prep recipes, packaging, other costs, notes, and method, then calculates per-portion cost and margin live. You can paste a plain-text recipe for recognition of ingredient names, amounts, and units; Dishboard flags entries that need a decision. Cups, tablespoons, and teaspoons convert to gram weights for ingredients in its USDA-based catalog. Delivery costing can include commissions and other assumptions for DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, or custom channels. Printable Recipe Cards hide cost figures by default, while Costing Sheets show costs, margins, and suggested prices. CSV ingredient imports and CSV or Costing Sheet exports are supported. The free plan is free, with no subscription or plan limits and every feature included. Dishboard does not provide POS, inventory counts, supplier ordering, accounting, payroll, or staff scheduling.
