What DigitalOcean Monitoring is
DigitalOcean Monitoring is a free web service for opt-in monitoring of DigitalOcean Droplets. Its Monitoring plan tracks Droplet resource usage, provides metrics, and sends alerts. Metrics are retained for 14 days. The service is associated with DigitalOcean, a cloud provider founded in 2012, and the listed platform is web. The plan has no listed price and is described as free monitoring for Droplet resources. Its scope is focused rather than broad: users can follow Droplet usage, inspect collected metrics, configure alerts, and monitor Kubernetes resources. The offering does not list synthetic checks, and no other cloud providers are identified. For teams already using DigitalOcean, the service provides a defined monitoring period and alerting without a stated charge. Access through the web keeps the listed usage centered on browser-based management of DigitalOcean infrastructure.
