What ConnX Mailroom is

ConnX Mailroom tracks mail and packages between an organization's mailroom and recipients. Staff can label incoming items with a barcode or use a courier's barcode, then book each item against its recipient using a scanner. The system can email recipients when mail arrives. For delivery, handheld devices can capture a recipient's signature, and staff can photograph an item if it is damaged. Workflows include pigeon-hole collection, courier and van deliveries, and mail trolley delivery and collection. Web-based parcel tracking and reports provide item visibility; an audit trail records movements from booking in so staff can trace a lost item's last known location. Mailroom is an on-premise solution that ConnX says runs behind the customer's own firewalls. The M3 OX10 handheld can update tracking over internal Wi-Fi or GPRS in real time, or be downloaded on return for batch updates. ConnX lists banks, building societies, large or multi-floor sites, NHS Trusts, universities, and carriers or courier companies as potential users. Pricing is available on request, and the company invites prospective customers to arrange a demo and request a quote.
