What Azure Stream Analytics is

Azure Stream Analytics is a web service for processing streaming data with stateful processing, SQL processing and event-time windows. It supports SQL, JavaScript and C# for processing logic, and its deployment model is hybrid. Source connectors are listed as 5.0. Four plans are available: Standard V2 requires at least 1/3 streaming unit, Dedicated V2 requires at least 12 streaming units, Standard V1 requires at least 1 streaming unit and Dedicated V1 requires at least 36 streaming units. Stateful processing can preserve information while streams are handled, while event-time windows organize processing around event timestamps. SQL support provides a query-oriented option, and JavaScript and C# add other language choices. The listed web platform and hybrid deployment model describe how the service is accessed and arranged.
