Apistaq
Apistaq is an API governance control plane that turns OpenAPI specifications into version controls, rate-limit policies, SDKs, and a developer portal.
What Apistaq is
Apistaq is an API governance control plane that turns OpenAPI specifications into version controls, rate-limit policies, SDKs, and a developer portal. It tracks specification changes, flags breaking changes, and supports documentation by version along with deprecation notices and sunset dates. Rate limits can use token bucket, sliding window, or fixed window algorithms, with policies set globally or inherited by tags and endpoints. Generated SDKs are available in TypeScript, Python, and Go, with publishing options for npm, PyPI, and pkg.go.dev. The portal can include an interactive explorer, version-specific documentation, SDK links, and changelogs based on the spec. Specs can be supplied from GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, a URL, or YAML/JSON upload. Apistaq says it is not an API gateway and does not proxy traffic. The Free plan is free and includes up to three APIs, 1M requests per month, and one portal; SDK generation requires Builder or Platform. Builder costs $149 a month, and Platform costs $399 a month.
