Alternative Mod Launcher
Alternative Mod Launcher (AML) replaces the default launchers for XCOM 2 and XCOM Chimera Squad, with tools for organizing and checking mods.
What Alternative Mod Launcher is
Alternative Mod Launcher (AML) replaces the default launchers for XCOM 2 and XCOM Chimera Squad, with tools for organizing and checking mods. Players can search and filter mods, use categories and profiles, and view Steam Workshop details such as tags, changelogs and dependencies. The launcher also supports unsubscribing from mods and editing configurations, with changes saved to disk and settings files. Basic checks flag duplicate IDs and class or screenlistener conflicts. Other utilities remove old ModOverride entries from XComEngine.ini and delete unnecessary files to reduce memory use. Automatic updates at startup are enabled by default, but can be switched off. AML is free and released under GPLv3. It runs on 64-bit Windows and requires XCOM 2 (WotC) or XCOM Chimera Squad, Steam installed and running, and .NET Framework 4.7.2 or later. It has no installer; users start it from an extracted ZIP archive. The project directs users to Discord and its GitHub issue tracker for questions and bug reports.
