AIMoCap
AIMoCap is a browser-based video motion-capture platform that converts recorded movement into 3D animation for animation and robot-motion workflows.
What AIMoCap is
AIMoCap is a browser-based video motion-capture platform that converts recorded movement into 3D animation for animation and robot-motion workflows. In its web workspace, users upload a video, trim the motion segment, select a target, submit it for processing, then preview or download the result. It captures body and finger movement together and aims to preserve natural weight shifts while reducing visible foot sliding. Targets include Default, MMD, Mixamo, CC&iClone, Roblox R15, and custom characters, alongside Unitree G1 robot-motion output. Humanoid targets produce FBX animation files; Unitree G1 output is Mujoco-oriented JSON motion data. Output frame rates are 24, 30, 60, or 120 fps. The developer API is asynchronous, uses bearer API keys, and supports batch jobs. The free plan includes 100 monthly credits, one concurrent upload, videos up to 30 seconds, files up to 50 MB, and seven-day result history. Starter costs $9.90 a month. Custom-character uploads currently accept humanoid FBX assets only; custom robot-character uploads are planned for a later release.
Good
- Captures body and finger motion together.
- Offers targets including Mixamo and Roblox R15.
- Supports Unitree G1 robot-motion output.
- Exports humanoid animation as FBX.
- Free plan includes 100 monthly credits.
Watch out
- Free videos are limited to 30 seconds.
- Free files are limited to 50 MB.
- Custom uploads currently support humanoid FBX only.
- No no-reason refunds are offered.
Who it suits
It suits animation creators and teams working with robot-motion workflows who want to turn video into 3D animation. The API also supports batch jobs from internal tools, creator pipelines, or automation systems.
Verdict
AIMoCap covers video-to-animation workflows with several character targets, robot output, and an asynchronous API. Review the free-tier upload limits and the current humanoid-only custom-character workflow before paying.
