The highly anticipated Xiaomi MIX Fold 3, the successor to the MIX Fold 2, is set to launch in China next month. Ahead of its release, the device has obtained certification from China’s 3C authority, shedding light on some of its specifications. Building upon the success of its predecessor, the MIX Fold 3 is expected to offer improvements in battery capacity, display technology, and camera capabilities, making it an exciting prospect for foldable smartphone enthusiasts.
The 3C certification reveals that the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 will feature a 67W fast charger, similar to its predecessor. This indicates that there won’t be any advancements in fast-charging capabilities. However, reports suggest that the device will sport a larger battery compared to the MIX Fold 2, with an increase of 300mAh. This upgrade is expected to provide users with extended usage time. Additionally, the MIX Fold 3 is rumored to support 50W wireless charging, offering users the convenience of cable-free charging.
According to reports, the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 will boast a 6.56-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display on the outside, delivering a vibrant and smooth viewing experience. On the inside, users will be greeted by an 8.02-inch foldable AMOLED QHD+ 120Hz screen, providing an immersive display for multimedia and productivity purposes. The device is expected to run on MIUI 14-based Android 13, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly interface. Powered by a 3.36GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, the MIX Fold 3 is anticipated to offer blazing-fast performance. With 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage, users will have ample space for their apps, files, and multimedia content.
The Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 is set to feature an in-screen camera on its foldable inner display, offering a full-screen experience without any notches or punch holes. On the rear side, the device is expected to house an impressive camera setup, including a Sony IMX800 primary camera, a periscope zoom camera with 10x optical zoom capabilities, a telephoto camera with 3.2x optical zoom, and an ultra-wide lens.
