Following in the footsteps of their sub-brand POCO, Xiaomi has also announced the warranty extension of their products by two months. This applies to all the products whose warranties are set to be up in the month of May or June this year.
Since most of India is under strict lockdown for at least two more weeks, this two-month extension on warranties will come in handy for quite a lot of Xiaomi users. This was posted by the brand on their social media channels. This is not the first time Xiaomi has done this, last year too the brand had released a similar set of directives.
Given the announcement by POCO last week and now Xiaomi this week, we could expect Redmi India to announce something similar as well sometime in the coming days. As for the new launches, all the brands are refraining from launching new products due to the raging pandemic and endless lockdowns. But we should hear from them as things normalize in the coming weeks.
