Make And Document An Original Track
- Choose a commercially eligible plan first. Confirm that the plan covers commercial use for a YouTube video, and save the plan and license terms that apply when you generate the track.
- Write a specific prompt. For a phone setup tutorial, try: “Original instrumental background music for a spoken Android phone tutorial; gentle pulse, light percussion, warm synth texture, uncluttered midrange, no vocals, no recognizable melody, clear ending.” Treat this as a creative brief; check the tool for which prompt controls it actually supports.
- Generate and revise the arrangement. Listen for space under speech and a clean ending. Use only editing controls the service provides. Soundverse lists stems and MIDI editing; Musicful lists song revisions and stem separation; Suno lists editing and stem export, but stem separation is not included in its Free Plan.
- Keep a track record. Save the prompt, generation date, exported audio, plan receipt, applicable license terms, and any source files or permissions. This record can help you identify what you used if a claim or licensing question arises; it does not guarantee a claim will be removed.
- Build the video around the music. Set the track under narration at a level that keeps speech clear, and edit the video and arrangement to fit the subject. Avoid uploading many videos that reuse the same track and template with only superficial changes.
- Review synthetic-content disclosure. YouTube requires its altered-or-synthetic content label when realistic altered or synthetic content could be mistaken for a real person’s performance. A purely instrumental bed may not present that example, but assess the finished video if it includes realistic synthetic vocals or performance.
- Check the upload and respond carefully to a claim. Review YouTube’s notices for the specific video. Compare the claimed material with your saved track and license records, and consult YouTube’s current instructions and the vendor’s terms before choosing any response. Make Monetization About The Video, Not A Track Template
YouTube renamed its “repetitious content” monetization rule to the “inauthentic content” policy on July 15, 2025; the policy targets mass-produced, repetitive, or template-based uploads, rather than AI use as such. YouTube clarified the guidelines on July 20, 2026, grouping them around generic or repetitive content, off-putting or distressing content, and AI personas discussing sensitive topics. Give each upload its own useful explanation, footage, and sound arrangement instead of publishing batches that differ only by title, image, or a small prompt change. That is a practical way to avoid a repetitive presentation; it is not a promise of monetization approval.

Know What Copyright Protection The Facts Establish
The U.S. Copyright Office’s January 29, 2025 Part 2 report says works generated entirely by AI are not copyrightable, prompts alone do not make a person the author, and only human-authored parts of a mixed work can be protected. Applicants registering a work containing more than a minimal amount of AI-generated material must disclose it and describe the human author’s contribution. These are U.S. Copyright Office statements, not a determination of rights in every country. Read the Copyright Office AI report information.
Keep your own contribution clear and documented, such as original lyrics or human-created edits, but do not assume that prompting or holding a vendor plan makes the generated composition copyrightable or prevents claims. Check the vendor’s current license and YouTube’s current terms for the use you have in mind.
