While the Xiaomi 13 launch has been put on hold, new details of the upcoming phone have emerged online. The company has dropped new hints that provide us with a clearer picture of what the display of the upcoming flagship phone is going to be like. According to what is known at the moment, the Xiaomi 13 will come with a flat display compared to the curved display of the Xiaomi 13 Pro.

The Xiaomi 13 will also have just the bare minimum bezels, which includes the narrowest chin ever. The company has also indicated the Xiaomi 13 will come with a top bezel that is slightly thicker than its bottom bezel, a design cue that the company admits is in contrast to what is trending at the moment, that of the top bezel being small or non-existent compared to the bottom chin.

Coming to the display specs, the company said the Xiaomi 13 will come with the Samsung E6 AMOLED display having 1080p resolution. The display also has a max refresh rate of 120 Hz and a peak brightness setting of 1,900 nits. The Xiaomi 13 Pro, on the other hand, will come with an AMOLED display having a resolution of 1440 pixels and a max refresh rate of 120 Hz.

Meanwhile, rumor has it that both the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro will have 8 GB of memory and 128 GB of UFS 3.1 flash storage on the entry-level model. The next higher model will have the same amount of memory with only the storage getting doubled to 256 GB, it being of the more advanced UFS 4.0 flash storage type this time. Next in line is the model with 12 gigs of memory and 256 GB of UFS 4.0 flash storage. The top-end versions for both models will have the same 12 GB of memory though storage gets doubled to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 flash storage.

Xiaomi had earlier announced the cancellation of the launch event which was scheduled on Dec. 1. It is yet to come up with a new launch date though rumor has it that it could happen on Dec. 7 or Dec. 8. Stay tuned for the latest developments on this.
