Overview

Wrike is a work-management platform for teams coordinating tasks and projects across departments. It suits teams that need board-based task views alongside automation, time tracking, guest access, and broad integration support. Its free tier makes it easy to start, but the active-task and storage caps may push growing teams toward a paid plan.

Key features

Board task views: Boards give teams a visual way to organize work; the confirmed view is board-based, so teams that depend on other specific views should check that Wrike fits their workflow.
Automation rules: Automations can reduce repetitive task administration, a useful advantage for teams managing recurring workflows.
Time tracking: Built-in time tracking suits teams that need to account for work time alongside task management.
Guest access: Teams can include guests, which helps when work involves people outside the core group.
400 native integrations: The broad integration count is a strength for teams connecting Wrike to other tools, though the count alone does not say whether a particular integration is included.

Pricing

Wrike uses a freemium model, with a 14-day trial and paid plans starting at $10/user/mo (annual). The Free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and allows unlimited users, but caps storage at 2 GB per account and active tasks at 200 per account. That makes it a sensible starting point for small or light workloads, not an unrestricted option for a busy team.

Team: 10.00 USD per month, billed annually, for 2 to 15 users. It is the entry paid tier for smaller teams ready to move beyond the Free plan's account-level caps.
Business: 25.00 USD per month, billed annually, for 5 to 200 users. Its higher price and broader team range make it the option for larger groups, though the plan details do not establish which additional features it adds.
Pinnacle: Custom pricing for unlimited users.
Apex: Custom pricing for unlimited users.

The Team and Business prices are stated per month with annual billing, so they are not month-to-month terms. Pinnacle and Apex may suit teams that need an unlimited-user plan, but their costs require a quote.

Platforms

Wrike is available on web, Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android, giving teams desktop and mobile platform coverage.

Who it's for

Wrike is a strong fit for teams that want task boards, automation, time tracking, guest access, and many native integrations in one work-management platform. It is less compelling for teams whose workload would quickly exceed the Free plan's 200 active tasks or 2 GB storage and who are not ready for annual billing. Teams that need a plan price before speaking with a provider may also prefer a product with a published cost at every tier.

Pros and cons

Pros: Automation, time tracking, and guest access cover several practical needs beyond organizing tasks on boards.
Pros: 400 native integrations give teams a broad starting point for connecting existing tools.
Pros: The Free plan supports unlimited users, useful for trying Wrike with a large group before paying.
Cons: Free storage is limited to 2 GB per account and active work to 200 tasks per account, which can constrain growing or high-volume teams.
Cons: Team and Business prices require annual billing, while Pinnacle and Apex use custom pricing, making total cost less flexible or predictable for some buyers.

Verdict

Choose Wrike if your team wants board-based work management with automation, time tracking, guest access, and extensive native integrations. Its free plan is a practical entry point, but its storage and active-task ceilings matter; teams needing more room must accept annual billing on the published paid tiers or custom pricing at the top end.
