Overview

ZMP coordinates paid, owned and earned media to support customer acquisition, growth and retention. It can recognise known and anonymous users across devices and map relationships between customers and their networks. That shared identity view can help teams coordinate customer experiences, especially when campaigns span multiple channels; the trade-off is that buyers need to weigh the platform against their existing data sources and workflows.

Key features

Identity and campaign orchestration

ZMP activates campaigns across email, social, connected TV, display, video, mobile and in-store touchpoints. Teams can also design personalised communications through SMS, push notifications, web personalisation, WhatsApp and mobile wallets. Mobile app journeys, web personalisation and real-time triggers support coordinated engagement rather than isolated sends. Identity Manager, cookieless capabilities, behavioural-intender audiences and Customer Pulse for enriching first-party data give marketers further audience tools.

AI, analytics and data

Zeta says the platform includes more than 500 AI agents for automating work, analysing data and improving customer experiences. Agents can generate audiences and quality-check campaigns, while the Zeta Opportunity Engine accepts natural-language questions. Zeta also says real-time AI assistance can reduce campaign build times by more than 30%, and that campaigns can be planned and deployed without code or IT tickets; these claims may matter to teams looking to shorten campaign workflows.

Zeta Intelligence combines an Opportunity Explorer, forecasting, generative AI, attribution modelling and advanced reporting. Performance simulation, ROI forecasting, native A/B and multivariate testing, and measurement of online and offline actions help teams evaluate campaigns against business outcomes. Data Flows provides low-code data onboarding and workflow management across disparate sources, while the integrations ecosystem supports system applications and channels.

Developer access, support and privacy

REST APIs cover people, resources, events and recommendations, and Zeta provides iOS and Android SDKs. SAML 2.0 single sign-on, IP whitelisting and multi-factor authentication are among its security options. Customers receive a dedicated team that can include strategists and data scientists, with strategy, integration and analytics expertise available from day one. Learning Studio offers training and certifications, and a marketplace connects customers with agency and technology partners.

Zeta says ZMP supports GDPR compliance, honors Global Privacy Control opt-out signals and offers EU data processing capabilities. These are relevant considerations for teams handling customer data across regions.

Pricing

Zeta Marketing Platform: custom pricing. Zeta invites prospective customers to request a demo or contact the company. There is no stated trial offer, so buyers should expect to discuss fit and cost directly rather than start with a public self-service plan. No seat or usage quota is stated.

The contact-led buying process may suit organizations evaluating a broad platform and dedicated support, but it gives smaller teams no public price point for a quick comparison. ZMP is a paid platform, with no free plan stated.

Platforms

ZMP is available on Android, iOS and the web, with API access for integrations. Its SDKs and REST API references support app integration and work with the platform.

Who it's for

ZMP is a strong candidate for businesses coordinating personalised customer journeys across channels and devices, particularly those that need identity, data onboarding, analytics and campaign activation in one system. Its combination of real-time triggers, mobile app journeys and web personalisation can serve teams running more than email campaigns. Organizations wanting a low-cost entry point, a published price or a narrowly focused messaging tool should compare simpler options first.

Pros and cons

Broad channel coverage: campaign activation spans email, social, CTV, display, video, mobile and in-store, with additional orchestration through SMS, push, WhatsApp and mobile wallets.
Connected measurement and data tools: forecasting, attribution, testing and low-code Data Flows support planning and evaluation alongside activation.
Dedicated expertise: strategists, data scientists and other specialists can support customers, with training and certifications through Learning Studio.
Opaque entry point: custom pricing and no stated trial or free plan make it harder for smaller buyers to assess cost before speaking with Zeta.
Broad scope demands a clear use case: teams that only need a single-channel tool may not benefit enough from the platform’s identity, data and analytics breadth.

Alternatives

For a broader category comparison, see Customer Journey Orchestration Software.

OneSignal is worth considering for a freemium starting point, with a free plan for 10,000 email sends per month and 1,000 monthly active users.
Twilio Segment offers a free plan and trial, with 1,000 visitors per month, 500,000 Reverse ETL records per month, two sources and more than 700 integrations.
Klaviyo may suit smaller teams starting with email and mobile messaging: its free plan covers up to 250 active profiles, 500 email sends per month and $5 of mobile messages per month.
Connectif is another paid option, with a free trial.
Insider One is another paid option for Android, API, iOS and web.
WebEngage is another paid option for Android, API, iOS and web.
Iterable offers a custom enterprise plan, making it an option for buyers seeking an enterprise purchase.
Airship Experimentation has an Airship Essentials plan with self-service, no-code app and web experiences, native UI, automation and real-time orchestration.

Verdict

Choose Zeta Marketing Platform if your business needs cross-channel campaign activation tied to customer identity, data workflows and measurement, and values a dedicated support team. Its main draw is the breadth of those capabilities in one platform; its main drawback is the custom-priced, contact-led route to purchase. Teams with narrower needs or a requirement for a public, low-cost starting plan should look to alternatives.
