Overview

Sauna brings emails, documents, Slack messages, and files together as context for its work. It can suggest actions for a person to review or, when enabled for a specific routine, carry them out autonomously. That makes it more ambitious than a simple chat assistant, but also means teams should be deliberate about which routines they authorize.

Wordware also documents a distinct V1 prompt-building product: an editor for creating, testing, collaborating on, and deploying prompts with logic and flow nodes. Its free-account prompts are public by default; paid users can make them private. That caveat matters for anyone considering V1 for sensitive prompt work.

Key features

Connected context: Sauna connects emails, documents, Slack messages, and files, and says it integrates with more than 3,000 tools and apps, with custom MCP connectors supported. This breadth can help teams avoid manually assembling context, though the value depends on the services they need to connect.
Suggestions or automation: Action approval is on by default; autonomous handling must be enabled for a specific routine. That is a sensible starting point for cautious teams, while teams seeking unattended execution must opt in routine by routine.
Multiple ways to interact: Sauna works through its web and iOS apps and connects with iMessage, Slack, Gmail, and Superhuman. Scheduled runs, human approvals, and web browsing are supported.
Setup and data protections: Sauna says it requires no technical knowledge and that most people are running in under 10 minutes. It says customer data is not used to train models and personal context is private by default. Its stated safeguards include SOC 2 Type II compliance, TLS 1.2+ in transit, and AES-256 or equivalent encryption at rest. U.S. customer infrastructure and storage are hosted in the United States; Google API data is used only to provide requested features. Users can request account, content, and memory removal, which Sauna says it completes within 30 days.

Pricing

Sauna has a free plan billed at $0/month, with 100 credits per day, or 200 with a verified card on file. There is no free trial. The daily allowance gives users a way to try the product within a cap, but the credit allowance may constrain heavier use.

Lite — 29.00 USD per month, billed per month: Sauna Lite model, iMessage and Slack connect, 3,000+ integrations, cloud storage, and persistent memory. A fit for individuals or small teams who need connected context and memory without access to all LLMs.
Basic — 99.00 USD per month, billed per month: Everything in Lite plus access to all LLMs. This suits users who need broader model choice, but the price jump over Lite is significant for teams that would not use that access.
Pro — 299.00 USD per month, billed per month: Everything in Basic plus shared folders and custom models. The added collaboration and customization are most relevant to teams with those specific needs.
Team — 999.00 USD per month, billed per month: Everything in Pro plus Brain Access, expanded custom models, and browser automation. It is aimed at organizations that need those capabilities; it is difficult to justify for a solo user or a team that can work without browser automation.

The plan terms give no seat counts or credit quotas for the paid tiers, so buyers should confirm how the subscription fits their team and expected usage before committing. Sauna directs unanswered pricing questions to support@sauna.ai.

Platforms

Wordware is available on iOS and the web. Sauna also connects with iMessage, Slack, Gmail, and Superhuman, giving users several routes into their work context rather than requiring every interaction to happen in its apps.

Who it's for

Sauna is best suited to people or teams that want an AI teammate to work across connected services, retain personal context, and either propose actions for approval or automate selected routines. Its integration range and persistent memory are the strongest reasons to consider it. Those who need low-cost, predictable team pricing, or who do not want to authorize autonomous routines, should compare alternatives first. V1 may interest prompt builders, but its free-tier public-by-default prompts make it a poor choice for private work unless using a paid account.

Pros and cons

Pro: Context spanning email, documents, Slack, and files can make action suggestions more relevant to ongoing work.
Pro: Approval is the default, with autonomous execution limited to routines a user enables.
Pro: More than 3,000 integrations, custom MCP connectors, and web and iOS access give teams several ways to bring tools into their workflow.
Con: Paid plans rise from 29.00 USD to 999.00 USD per month, and the plan terms do not state seat counts or paid-tier quotas.
Con: Free Sauna use is capped at 100 credits daily, or 200 with a verified card, and there is no trial.
Con: V1 prompts on free accounts are public by default, so users handling sensitive prompts need a paid account for privacy.

Verdict

Choose Sauna if your work spans connected services and you want an AI teammate that can build context, seek approval, and automate only the routines you designate. Its integration breadth and approval-first posture are compelling; the monthly price escalation and unspecified paid-tier seat and usage terms are reasons to look elsewhere if cost predictability matters. For V1 prompt building, consider the privacy trade-off before using a free account.
