Overview

SafetyCulture, now Mitti, is a frontline operations platform for organizations coordinating work across sites and shifts. It suits teams that need inspections alongside task follow-up and other operational tools. Its breadth is a strength, but free-plan caps and the paid-plan integration requirement are important trade-offs.

Digitized checklists support inspections and audits, with captured details turned into shareable reports. Teams can also assign tasks and report hazards, near misses, incidents and other observations. Inspections work offline on mobile and tablet, autosaving and syncing when connectivity returns—a practical advantage at sites with unreliable service.

Beyond inspections, Mitti brings together investigations, training, workplace messages, document management, assets, sensors, lone worker tools, analytics and procurement. That breadth can consolidate frontline workflows, though teams seeking only a narrow inspection tool may not need the full platform.

Key features

Inspections and audits: Digitized checklists, custom forms, photo annotations and shareable reports support routine checks and audit records. Offline completion makes the workflow more usable in the field.
Actions and issue reporting: Teams can assign tasks and report observations, hazards, near misses and incidents, with corrective actions supported. This connects findings to follow-up rather than leaving them as inspection records.
Wider operations tools: Investigations, training, workplace messages, document management, assets, sensors, lone worker tools, analytics and procurement extend the platform beyond compliance checks.
Integrations and controls: Integrations include Power BI, Tableau, Zapier, Power Automate, Google Calendar, Outlook, Geotab, Samsara, HR systems and a public API. Integrations require Premium or Enterprise, so Free users cannot rely on them as part of their workflow.
Security and hosting: Mitti states it is ISO 27001:2022 certified and SOC 2 Type II audited, with customer data encrypted at rest and in transit. Data at rest is stored in AWS centers in the United States, Ireland and Australia; location is generally based on organization creation date and IP proximity.

Pricing

Mitti uses a freemium model with a free plan, a free trial and paid plans. Paid pricing starts at $24/user/mo on annual billing.

Free — 0.00 USD per free: Up to 10 seats, 300 AI credits per seat per month, five active inspection templates, and basic analytics, training, tasks, issue reporting and data history. It is a useful starting point for small teams, but the seat and template caps can constrain growing operations.
Premium (annual) — 24.00 USD per year: Billed $24 / seat / month annually, excluding applicable taxes. It removes seat and active-template limits and includes 500 AI credits per seat per month, advanced analytics and training, integrations and SSO. This is the lower-cost paid option for teams that need scale or integrations and can commit to annual billing.
Premium (monthly) — 29.00 USD per month: Billed $29 / seat / month, excluding applicable taxes. It includes the same listed Premium features and quotas without annual billing, at a higher monthly rate.
Enterprise — custom pricing: Includes 800 AI credits per seat per month, enterprise user management, enforced login controls and SCIM provisioning, 24/7 priority support, a 99.9% uptime commitment, an advanced integrations builder, sandbox environment and site-based pricing. It is aimed at organizations needing these enterprise controls and support.

Free is the only plan with a stated seat cap; both Premium plans have unlimited seats. Integrations begin at Premium, so teams that need connected reporting or operational systems must move beyond Free.

Platforms

Mitti is available on Android, iOS and the web. The mobile apps and browser access support teams working across devices, while offline inspections are specifically supported on mobile and tablet.

Who it's for

Mitti is a strong fit for multi-site or shift-based teams that want inspection records, issue reporting and operational follow-up in one platform. Organizations needing offline inspections or a broader set of frontline tools have a clear reason to consider it. A small team with only a handful of inspection templates may find Free sufficient; teams needing more seats, templates or integrations should budget for Premium. Those seeking only a lightweight checklist workflow may find the broader scope unnecessary.

Pros and cons

Pros

Offline inspections: Autosave and later syncing help keep field checks moving when connectivity drops.
Inspection-to-action workflow: Checklists, issue reporting, assigned tasks and corrective actions connect findings with follow-up.
Broad operations coverage: Training, investigations, assets and other tools extend its usefulness beyond inspections.
Free entry point: A team can start without a subscription, with basic analytics, training, tasks and issue reporting included.

Cons

Free-plan ceilings: Ten seats and five active inspection templates may be restrictive for larger or more varied operations.
Integrations are paid: Free users must upgrade to Premium or Enterprise to use integrations.
Annual Premium commitment costs less: The monthly Premium rate is $29 / seat / month versus $24 / seat / month billed annually, both before applicable taxes.
Hosting region varies: Data location generally depends on organization creation date and IP proximity, which may not suit organizations seeking a predictable region.

Verdict

Choose Mitti if your frontline teams need offline inspections linked to issue reporting, assigned work and a broader operations toolkit. Its free plan offers a practical entry point, but its seat and template caps are real constraints, and integrations require a paid plan. Look elsewhere if you need a narrower inspection tool or cannot accept those limits and upgrade requirements.
