Overview

Neocase HR Case Management brings employee HR requests into a shared case workflow, with knowledge resources and multiple ways to get help. It is best suited to mid-sized and large organizations, particularly HR Shared Services Centers that need to route and track a high volume of inquiries. Its strength is the combination of structured case handling and employee self-service; organizations should look elsewhere if they need a published price or a clearly stated low-cost entry tier.

Key features

Neocase centralizes HR inquiries, assigns them to agents and tracks progress, giving teams a way to maintain request traceability rather than relying on disconnected channels. SLA and OLA tracking, escalations, alerts and performance monitoring support teams with formal service commitments. A request catalog and HRIS synchronization add useful structure, though no catalog size or synchronization details are stated.

The AI-powered knowledge base tailors answers to employee profiles, while AI features support natural-language queries, translation and routing to the appropriate HR manager. Auto-routing can consider employee profiles, request content, agent workload and skills. That breadth can help shared-service teams direct requests more deliberately, but organizations should assess whether their workflows benefit from these routing criteria.

Employees can submit requests through a web portal, mobile app, email, Microsoft Teams virtual agent or telephone. In Teams, employees can chat with Neo for case management and knowledge management on a computer or phone. The omnichannel intake is a practical advantage for a distributed workforce, although the platform list does not name desktop operating systems beyond web access.

Prebuilt connectors cover Workday, Cegid/Talentsoft, SAP SuccessFactors, Sopra HR and The Access Group; APIs and custom connectors provide other integration paths. Neocase lists ISO 27001 and GDPR compliance, with hosting in Europe for EMEA customers and the United States for North American customers. Three support levels—Starter, Advanced and Advanced+—include support, but the level names alone do not establish what differs between them.

Pricing

Neocase HR Case Management uses custom pricing, based on employee users and usage of certain features. There is no public amount, so organizations will need a quote to compare costs against their user population and intended modules. The modular basis may suit buyers who want pricing tied to scope, but it makes a quick budget comparison difficult. No free plan, trial length, seat minimum or renewal term is stated.

Platforms

Neocase supports Android, iOS, web and API. The cloud-based self-service solution also accepts requests by email, telephone and Microsoft Teams, extending intake beyond the listed app platforms.

Who it's for

Neocase is a stronger fit for mid-sized and large employers with an HR Shared Services Center, especially those needing centralized case assignment, SLA oversight, HR knowledge self-service and integrations with established HR systems. Smaller teams seeking a fixed, public price or a stated free tier may find the quote-based modular model less convenient.

Pros and cons

Pros: Multiple intake channels let employees use web, mobile, email, Teams or telephone.
Pros: SLA and OLA tracking, escalations and workload-aware routing give HR service teams tools to manage accountability and distribution.
Pros: Profile-tailored knowledge and natural-language queries support employee self-service.
Pros: Prebuilt HRIS connectors plus APIs and custom connectors provide options for connecting HR systems.
Cons: Custom pricing based on employee users and feature usage makes costs harder to compare without a quote.
Cons: The three support tiers are named, but their differences are not clear enough to guide a support-level choice.

Alternatives

For a broader category comparison, see HR Case Management Software and HR Service Delivery Software.

LBi HR HelpDesk is a more concrete starting point for smaller organizations: its free plan has no expiration date and supports up to 100 employees and two administrative users. It also offers a free trial.

Sunrise HRCM is another paid option with a free trial and Android, iOS, API and web support; pricing requires a quote.

Dovetail HR Case Management is a paid alternative for organizations considering API and web platforms, with custom pricing.

Applaud HR Case Management uses subscription pricing per user per month and starts at 500 users, making it relevant to larger deployments seeking a per-user subscription model.

Superthread HR Service Delivery has a free plan with 200 cards, four boards and two spaces, but its service desk portal is not included in that tier.

Workday Help is another paid, web-based option.

Oracle HR Help Desk may suit organizations comparing a published per-month price: its listed service costs 4.00 USD per month, has a three-year standard subscription term and requires a 500-hosted-employee minimum.

Verdict

Neocase is a strong candidate for mid-sized and large HR service teams that want multichannel intake, traceable case handling and profile-aware knowledge and routing in one offering. Its clearest reason to choose it is the combination of service controls and employee self-service, backed by HRIS connectors. Look elsewhere if public pricing, a small-team entry tier or clearly differentiated support plans are essential.
