Overview

TalkPilot is a conversation assistant that offers private, live prompts and turns conversations into notes and follow-up actions. It is best suited to people who want guidance without adding a bot to a meeting. Its free tier is tightly capped, and US-only processing may rule it out for some organizations.

Key features

Live coaching and follow-up

TalkPilot listens on the user’s device and suggests what to say during a call or meeting, then can produce structured notes, summaries and action items. Transcription, objection detection, next-step extraction, coaching scorecards and CRM synchronization extend its appeal beyond live prompting. This combination is useful when a conversation needs both in-the-moment support and a clearer record of what happens next; teams should confirm that the capabilities they rely on fit their workflows.

Preparation and integrations

Google Calendar connectivity can surface upcoming events for preparation. The customer-care page identifies Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, RingCentral, Five9, Genesys, Aircall, Talkdesk, Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, Salesforce Service Cloud, HubSpot and ServiceNow as compatible platforms or tools. TalkPilot does not join meetings as a participant, a sensible fit for users who want to avoid another attendee, but not for teams that specifically want a meeting bot.

Privacy and security

TalkPilot says it does not record or store audio; each session must be started by the user and can be stopped at any time. It states that data is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.2 or higher and at rest with AES-256, and that audio, transcripts and client information are not used to train AI models. Transcript bodies are retained for 365 days by default, though organizations can configure retention. All processing takes place in the United States, with no EU data residency option, so organizations with residency requirements should look elsewhere.

Pricing

The free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and allows five conversations a month, each up to 30 minutes, five practice runs a month and three scenarios. It is a useful way to try occasional coaching, but the conversation and practice caps make it a poor fit for regular professional use.

Pro costs 20.00 USD per month, billed monthly. It removes the conversation quota, allows sessions up to two hours, and adds earbud coaching, a teleprompter, document context, and full Deep Dive and practice. It is the clearest fit for an individual who needs frequent use and those added coaching tools; users who only need occasional prompts may not need the upgrade.

Teams costs 32.00 USD per year, billed annually, or $40 billed monthly, with a minimum of two seats. It adds a shared playbook and knowledge base, scorecards, a team dashboard, and admin, manager and member roles. The annual price is much lower than the monthly option, but the minimum seats and annual billing make it a commitment rather than a casual step up from Free. Enterprise is custom pricing for more than 20 users.

Platforms

TalkPilot is available on Android, iOS, macOS and Windows. That spread covers mobile and desktop users, though no web platform is identified.

Who it's for

The maker presents TalkPilot for sales, customer care, contact centers, real estate, job interviews and everyday conversations. Its live suggestions and post-call action items are most compelling for people who want structured support before, during and after conversations. Teams should weigh its collaboration features against the seat minimum, and organizations requiring EU data residency should exclude it.

Pros and cons

Pros: Live prompts paired with notes, summaries and action items support both conversation and follow-through.
Pros: Sessions do not add TalkPilot as a meeting participant, and users control when each session starts and stops.
Pros: Teams adds shared resources, scorecards, dashboard and role-based access.
Cons: Free use is limited to five short conversations and five practice runs per month.
Cons: US-only processing and the absence of EU data residency can be disqualifying for some organizations.
Cons: Default transcript-body retention is 365 days, so organizations need to set retention to match their needs.

Alternatives

For a different balance of live coaching and plan limits, consider ConversationPilot: its free tier allows three calls a month but has no live coach, while its Solo plan costs 39.00 USD per month for full live coaching and individual use. Amotions AI may suit users who want live coaching, roleplay, scorecards and transcripts on a free plan, which is limited in usage and to two playbook documents or links; its Starter plan costs 49.00 USD.

Colibri.ai is worth considering when transcription limits are a better fit: its free plan includes one user, five hours of transcription a month and a 40-minute maximum recording. Avoma may suit teams looking for a plan with up to 25 paid seats and unlimited free view-only seats; its Startup plan costs 19.00 USD per month, billed annually.

Jiminny offers an Insights Seat plan at 42.00 USD per month with a minimum 12-month contract. Mindtickle is another option for readers comparing conversation and coaching software. Rafiki AI has a Starter plan at 19.00 USD per month, billed annually, for up to three users, with stated recording and transcription quotas. ExecVision uses custom pricing.

Verdict

TalkPilot is a strong fit for individuals and teams seeking private live coaching plus structured follow-up, especially when avoiding a meeting bot matters. The free tier is too limited for sustained use, and the US-only processing is a firm reason to look elsewhere for organizations that need EU data residency.
