Overview

Galaxy brings map creation and analysis together with a CX model for organizing metrics and customer data across segments, products, and brands. That broader structure makes Milkymap a stronger fit for ongoing CX management than for teams that only need a small collection of journey diagrams.

Customization is unusually broad: users can tailor maps and much of the application to their processes, terminology, and customer needs. That flexibility can support varied CX practices, though the single-user entry plans are not a substitute for collaborative editing.

Key features

Journey mapping: Users can create, edit, analyze, and customize maps, with emotion mapping and persona profiles. The three-map cap and single-user limit make the free plan better for individual exploration than shared team work.
CX data model: The CX Life Cycle Model organizes metrics and related customer data across segments, products, and brands, giving organizations a way to relate journey work to broader CX measures.
Action management and integrations: The CX Actionboard connects data through API connectors and supports management using near-real-time data. Supported source types include customer feedback, CRM systems, and analytics tools.
Database access: Stargate can connect Milkymap to SQL and NoSQL databases for real-time data access, extending it beyond manually maintained map content.
AI: MilkyAi can analyze, create, check, and report on data, journeys, and Milkymap content, but it is reserved for Business and Enterprise.
Support and security: Milkymap provides training resources, tutorials, customer service, and product demos. It says the tool is hosted in Europe; personal data may be transferred to and processed in the Netherlands, and absolute security is not guaranteed.

Pricing

Satellite Free costs 0.00 EUR per free and provides basic features for one user. The three-map and one-collaborator caps make it a constrained personal starting point, not a team workspace.

Satellite Pro costs 9.00 EUR per month, billed €9 per month for a single user, and is aimed at consultants and contractors. It remains a solo plan, so paying for Pro does not solve the need for real-time multi-member editing.

Galaxy Business costs 39.00 EUR per month, billed €39 per month per user, and includes a 30-day free trial. It is the relevant tier for businesses and teams that need real-time shared editing; the per-user price means costs rise with team size. MilkyAi is also limited to Business and Enterprise.

Galaxy Enterprise has custom pricing for businesses adopting customer centricity across their organization. Choose it when that organization-wide scope is the aim; its price depends on a bespoke offering.

Platforms

Milkymap is available on iOS and the web, and its service includes a mobile application. The web option suits desktop mapping and management; iOS provides a mobile route into the service.

Who it's for

Milkymap is aimed at organizations seeking to improve CX strategies, including businesses in automotive, healthcare, retail, B2B, telecom, and government. It is most compelling when journey maps need to connect to customer data and managed actions. Solo consultants can use Satellite Pro, while teams requiring live co-editing need Business or Enterprise.

Pros and cons

Pro: Mapping, CX metrics, database connections, and action management sit in one platform, which suits organizations managing journeys as an ongoing CX discipline.
Pro: Extensive customization can adapt maps and much of the application to different processes and terminology.
Con: The free plan is capped at three maps and one user, while real-time shared editing is limited to Business and Enterprise.
Con: Business is priced per user, so team costs scale with headcount; Enterprise uses custom pricing.
Con: The security policy does not guarantee absolute security, a consideration for organizations handling sensitive customer data.

Alternatives

Customer Journey Mapping Software is the broader category directory for comparing journey mapping tools.

Custellence is a web-based freemium option whose free plan allows two users and two maps in one workspace; choose it if that small shared allowance matters more than Milkymap's CX data and action-management focus.
Customer Journey App has a free web plan for three maps and one user, with manual mapping, templates, several export formats, and ten version snapshots; it suits readers who want those specific free-plan mapping and export tools.
René Studio is a web-based freemium alternative with a free plan including three journeys, one collaborator per workspace, and 1,000 AI credits per month.
UXPressia is a web-based freemium option whose free tier includes three journey maps, three personas, three impact maps, email sharing with one user, and PNG export; pick it if those persona and impact-map allowances fit the work.
Smaply is a web-based freemium option with a free plan of ten maps and ten personas, preceded by a 14-day full-featured trial; it suits a solo user who values those larger map and persona quotas.
IteroJM is another web-based freemium option.
Cemantica is a paid web and API option with a 21-day enterprise trial for up to five users and no credit card required; consider it if an API option and that trial structure suit your evaluation.
cxomni is a paid web platform with an Enterprise plan from 2000.00 EUR per month, a 36-month minimum term, and up to ten author users in its smallest package; it is for buyers prepared for that contract commitment.

Verdict

Choose Milkymap if your organization wants journey mapping tied to structured CX data, integrations, and action management, and can budget for per-user Business seats when teams need live collaboration. Look elsewhere if you need an affordable multi-user entry plan: the free and €9-per-month options are single-user, and Business starts at €39.00 EUR per month per user.
