Overview

Lease Harbor brings lease administration and lease accounting together in a web-based system for organizations managing real estate, equipment, or vehicle leases. It is best suited to teams that need standards-based accounting alongside configurable portfolio tracking, approvals, and reporting. Its breadth and integration options are compelling, but custom pricing means buyers should weigh the fit and implementation against their own portfolio needs.

Key features

Lease accounting covers real estate, equipment, and vehicle leases, with automated remeasurement and compliance reporting. The system is designed to automate accounting under FASB, IFRS, and GASB standards, making it relevant to organizations with reporting obligations across those frameworks. That scope is useful, though buyers should confirm that the accounting workflows fit their particular portfolio and reporting requirements.

On the administration side, users can tailor data fields, track key dates, receive reminders, and store lease documents. Critical-date alerts and rent schedule tracking support ongoing portfolio oversight; configurable fields and reports let teams adapt the system to their own lease data rather than rely only on fixed formats.

Workflow tools handle routine tasks with approvals, audit trails, and email notifications. Standard and custom reporting includes compliance, financial statement, and audit-support reports. Together, these features can help coordinate recurring work and prepare reporting, but their value depends on how closely the configured workflows match a team's processes.

Integration features included with the subscription cover imports, exports, scheduled transfers, and web services. Lease Harbor lists connections to Oracle, SAP, Costpoint, PeopleSoft, Great Plains, Workday, NetSuite, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, JD Edwards, Lawson, and MRI. This is a broad set of named business systems, although organizations should confirm the specific connection and data flow they need.

The company describes its security approach as using encryption and security protocols and references a SOC 1 Type II report and Tier III+ data centers. It also offers training, direct expert technical support, accounting and consulting services, and data conversion. Turnkey implementations can take days; more customized setups generally take a few weeks, a useful distinction for buyers balancing speed against the need to tailor the system.

Pricing

Lease Harbor is paid software with custom pricing. The company separates pricing by features such as lease accounting and lease administration, so buyers should clarify which capabilities their quote includes and whether they need both. There is no published free plan or trial to compare against; the decision rests on a tailored quote and the scope of the implementation.

Platforms

Lease Harbor is web-only and requires no installation to access. That suits teams working through a browser, but the stated platform coverage does not include native mobile apps.

Who it's for

The company positions Lease Harbor for small and medium-sized businesses as well as enterprise organizations, with support for portfolios ranging from a handful of leases to 100,000 or more. Its combination of accounting, administration, integrations, and services may suit organizations that want one system for a substantial or varied portfolio. Smaller teams with simple tracking needs may find the accounting and implementation scope more than they require.

Pros and cons

Pros: Combines accounting and administration for real estate, equipment, and vehicle leases, reducing the need to treat those workflows as separate functions.
Pros: Supports FASB, IFRS, and GASB compliance workflows, with remeasurement and reporting tools for teams facing those standards.
Pros: Custom fields and reports, plus approvals and audit trails, let organizations shape portfolio tracking and routine controls around their processes.
Pros: Integration tools and a wide roster of named business systems give buyers several options for moving data between lease and finance environments.
Cons: Custom pricing makes cost comparison difficult before a buyer defines the feature mix and portfolio needs.
Cons: The web-only platform may not fit teams that require native mobile apps.
Cons: Customized implementations generally take a few weeks, which may be a drawback for organizations seeking a quick, minimally tailored setup.

Alternatives

For a broader starting point, browse Lease Administration Software.

Consider Visual Lease if you want another paid, web-based option with API support and personalized pricing based on needs and goals. iLeasePro is worth comparing if you prefer a freemium product with a free plan and trial, or published monthly tiers capped at 50 or 150 contracts. Spacebase may fit buyers looking for Android, iOS, web, and API access, with pricing tailored to portfolio size and feature needs.

Hubler is another paid option available on web, iOS, and Android. Prophia Lease Administration may suit teams that want to start with a free AI-only lease abstraction tool covering around 20 essential terms, without human review. Leasecake is a paid alternative with Android, iOS, and web access, while Occupier is a paid option with a Basic plan requiring at least 20 leases and allowing unlimited users. LeaseQuery is another paid, web-based alternative.

Verdict

Lease Harbor is a strong candidate for organizations that want configurable lease administration and standards-based accounting in one web system, especially when integrations, audit support, and expert implementation services matter. Its main trade-offs are custom pricing and a potentially longer tailored setup. Choose it when that combined scope fits your portfolio; look elsewhere if native mobile access or a clearly priced entry plan is central to the decision.
