What both publish
| Fact | Hive | PNGOUT |
|---|---|---|
| Integrations | Hive says it offers over 1000 integrations and names Google Drive, Google Calendar, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Outlook Calendar, Jira, Slack, GitHub, Dropbox, and QuickBooks among them. | The maker lists PNGGauntlet as a .NET-based Windows wrapper for PNGOUT; the tutorial also documents a Windows clipboard input option. |
| License | Hive is licensed under the Apache License 2.0. | The command-line versions and Mac and Linux ports are free to use; bundling the executable in a commercial product requires contacting the maker’s business partner. |
| Limits | Hive Free includes 200MB of storage and up to 10 workspace members, while Starter includes up to 10 members and up to 10 projects. | The command-line version does not support 16-bit PNG color depths or batch processing, and outputs interlaced images as non-interlaced. |
| Purpose | Hive describes itself as a platform for managing projects, tasks, approvals, billing, and related team work in one place. | PNGOUT losslessly optimizes PNG files created by other programs. |
