Overview

Omniconvert Explore is an experimentation and conversion optimization platform for ecommerce brands, particularly D2C businesses and omnichannel retailers. It suits teams that need several kinds of tests and detailed audience targeting, but its visitor cap makes traffic planning central to the decision.

Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Bucharest, Romania, Omniconvert positions Explore around experimentation, targeting and measurement. Teams can work visually or in code, and use an API to bring experiment results and metadata into reporting or custom applications.

Key features

Explore supports A/B and A/B/n, multivariate, split-URL, stacked and server-side testing, as well as personalization and on-site surveys. Unlimited simultaneous A/B tests are useful for teams running parallel experiments; they do not remove the visitor quota that governs the free offer. Server-side testing and a mobile SDK extend its relevance beyond straightforward browser-page changes.

Experiment creation can happen in a WYSIWYG visual editor, a code editor or the Chrome A/B Editor plugin. This gives marketers and developers different ways to work, though the range is most useful when a team has people able to use the more technical options as well as the visual one.

More than 40 segmentation options cover factors such as geography, device, operating system, referral source, cookies, UTM tags and custom JavaScript rules. That breadth can help ecommerce teams target experiments to specific audiences rather than treat all visitors alike.

The reporting dashboard tracks conversion trends, revenue per visitor, chance-to-win and cumulative views in real time, with branded PDF export. The API exposes experiment results and metadata for BI, reporting and custom applications. GA4 integration sends an Omniconvert event with Exp_Name and Exp_Var parameters, and supports client-side or server-side tracking.

Integrations connect with analytics platforms, CRMs, ESPs and ecommerce platforms directly or through Zapier. Omniconvert describes GDPR measures including HTTPS for sensitive pages, penetration tests, restricted server access, consent logging and audit logs. Its service terms promise 99.9% uptime, excluding scheduled maintenance, force majeure and client-caused outages.

Pricing

Explore uses a freemium model, with no free trial. The FREE plan costs 0.00 USD per free, requires no credit card and includes the full Explore feature set for experiments involving up to 50,000 website visitors. It is not time-based, which makes it suitable for evaluating or running lower-traffic experiments without a trial clock. The trade-off is a firm traffic ceiling: when a monthly visitor quota is exceeded, Omniconvert says it emails the customer and pauses running experiments until the next billing cycle or an upgrade.

Omniconvert says every plan includes 24x7 support, a one-hour response time by phone, email or chat, and a dedicated account manager. That is a substantial support commitment for teams that need help maintaining experiments, though the free plan's visitor cap may limit its usefulness as traffic grows.

Platforms

Explore supports web and mobile, and its platform coverage includes Android, iOS, API, extension and self-hosted environments. A mobile SDK is supported, alongside web-based experimentation and server-side testing.

Who it's for

Explore is a strong fit for ecommerce teams that want to run multiple concurrent tests, target audiences with detailed rules and track both conversion and revenue measures. Its combination of visual and code editors can serve marketers and developers in the same program. Smaller or lower-traffic teams can start with the free offer; organizations expecting to exceed 50,000 visitors should account for the pause-on-overage policy before depending on continuous experiments.

Pros and cons

Pro: Multiple experiment formats, personalization and surveys give ecommerce teams more than basic A/B testing.
Pro: More than 40 segmentation options and real-time reporting support targeted decisions tied to conversion and revenue.
Pro: The free plan includes the full feature set and has no time limit, so teams can evaluate it without a credit card.
Con: The free offer is capped at 50,000 website visitors, and exceeding a monthly quota pauses running experiments until renewal or upgrade.
Con: The breadth of targeting, API and editor options is most valuable to teams with the capacity to build and interpret a structured testing program.

Verdict

Choose Omniconvert Explore if your ecommerce team needs varied experiment formats, granular audience targeting and reporting that connects testing to revenue. Its strongest advantage is the combination of breadth and a full-featured, non-time-limited free plan; its main drawback is the visitor quota and the pause in running experiments when that quota is exceeded. Teams whose traffic outgrows the cap should weigh that operational interruption before making Explore their core testing platform.
