Overview

ImpactGuru is a fundraising platform for people and organizations seeking donations for medical, personal, social, creative or charitable causes. It is best suited to campaigners who want guided campaign support alongside online donation collection. Its approval checks and campaign services are useful safeguards, but the fees and variable withdrawal windows deserve close attention.

Campaigners can add details, images, a story and supporting documents to create a fundraiser in less than five minutes. Contributions are gifts or donations, not loans to be repaid, and ImpactGuru says there is no fundraising ceiling; it reports campaigns raising as much as Rs. 14 crores. Campaigns must pass its proprietary approval criteria before they can collect funds.

Founded in 2014, ImpactGuru supports recurring donations and accepts cards and wallets. For broader comparison, see Nonprofit Crowdfunding Software.

Key features

Campaign management

The Campaigner app gives campaigners a personalized dashboard, real-time donation updates, chat support, document uploads and withdrawals. Android and iOS apps make campaign administration possible on mobile, while the dashboard and updates are particularly useful when organizers need to keep track of incoming support.

Screening and support

ImpactGuru checks identity, hospital or NGO details, beneficiary accounts and documents, and moderates campaign content. It also says algorithms monitor for fraud patterns and an in-house trust team reviews data and customer feedback. These controls add scrutiny, though they do not remove the approval hurdle: a campaign that fails the platform's criteria cannot fundraise there.

The company says support agents reply within 24 hours. Its transaction security uses SSL encryption, and it says it has partnered with hospitals including Apollo and Fortis and brands including Grofers, PhonePe and Yatra. These are useful signals of its operating relationships, not a substitute for checking whether a particular fundraiser is approved.

Pricing

ImpactGuru has a free-plan option, but its paid campaign-support plans are billed once against the amount raised. All payments also incur a 3% payment processing and donor support fee; international cards and cross-border payments can bring additional fees. That means the plan price is not the only charge to account for.

Plan	Price and terms	Best fit
Self Driven	Custom pricing, billed on amount raised; standard story support, activation in 48 hours, withdrawals in 3–7 days, Android and iOS app, and a shared relationship manager.	Campaigners who can manage the work themselves and can accept the longest stated activation window.
Assisted	3.00 USD per once, billed on amount raised; customised story support, activation in 24 hours, withdrawals in 2–7 days, limited dashboard, 10am–7pm chat support, and Android and iOS app.	Organizers wanting story help and faster activation without paying for a dedicated manager or round-the-clock chat.
Elevate	5.00 USD per once, billed on amount raised; expert-written story, activation in 12 hours, withdrawals in 12 hours–5 days, advanced dashboard, 24x7 chat support, and Android and iOS app.	Campaigners who value a more capable dashboard and faster support and activation.
Co-pilot	8.00 USD per once, billed on amount raised; personal consultation, activation in 2 hours, withdrawals in 8 hours–5 days, dedicated relationship manager, advanced dashboard, 24x7 chat support, and Android and iOS app.	Organizers who want the most direct assistance and the shortest stated activation window.
Accelerate Program	Custom pricing; selected fundraisers receive customised screenplay, patient counselling, end-to-end support, customised outreach, professional photography and videography, paid marketing promotions, and international visibility.	Selected campaigns seeking a broader, managed promotional package.

Assisted trades the limited dashboard and daytime chat window for a lower price than Elevate or Co-pilot; Elevate adds an expert-written story and advanced dashboard, while Co-pilot adds a personal consultation and dedicated relationship manager. The listed withdrawal windows vary by plan, so campaigners with time-sensitive needs should weigh those ranges alongside activation time.

Platforms

ImpactGuru is available on Android, iOS and the web. The Campaigner app is offered for Android and iOS, while web access gives organizers another route to create and manage campaigns.

Who it's for

ImpactGuru is a reasonable fit for individuals, nonprofits and other campaigners raising money for supported causes who want donation collection, mobile updates and optional help with campaign presentation. Its screening process and support tiers are most useful to organizers who can meet approval requirements and are willing to factor service and payment fees into the amount raised. Campaigners seeking an unrestricted launch or a simple low-fee option may prefer to compare alternatives.

Pros and cons

Pros: Campaign setup can take less than five minutes, and Android and iOS campaigner apps combine updates, document uploads and withdrawals.
Pros: Identity, beneficiary and document checks, along with fraud monitoring and content moderation, provide multiple layers of review.
Pros: Support plans scale from story assistance to a dedicated relationship manager, letting campaigners choose how much help they need.
Cons: Campaign approval is mandatory, so organizers cannot assume every project will be accepted.
Cons: A 3% payment processing and donor support fee applies to all payments, with possible extra international charges.
Cons: Withdrawals have plan-dependent windows reaching 3–7 days on Self Driven and 2–7 days on Assisted, which may not suit urgent cash needs.

Alternatives

JustGiving is worth considering for charities new to the service that want its free Start plan; it has no monthly subscription fee, though standard processing fees and a 5% Gift Aid reclaim fee apply.
LaunchGood may suit fundraisers seeking no platform fee, with card processing at 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction and an optional checkout tip.
AdoptAClassroom.org is aimed at eligible U.S. educators, with donations issued as online credit for marketplace or Teacher Choice purchases.
Milaap offers a free fundraiser with zero platform fees, actual payment processing charges and a voluntary tipping model.
DonorsChoose is an option for teachers posting classroom projects; requests have a $100 minimum and may remain posted for up to four months.
FundRazr offers a no-platform-fee Optional Tips plan, with 2.9% + $0.30* processing and 95% of donors covering fees.
WhyDonate has no platform fee or monthly cost, but recurring donations incur a 3% platform fee from the second payment.
Ketto is another freemium fundraising platform with Android, iOS and web access.

Verdict

Its approval process and service tiers offer structure, but the 3% payment fee, potential international charges and plan-specific withdrawal windows are meaningful trade-offs. Choose it when support and campaign oversight matter more than minimizing fees; look elsewhere if you need a guaranteed launch or a simpler fee model.
