Overview

Freshcaller is a cloud contact center for teams handling customer calls across support, sales, IT, or HR. Its strongest fit is a team that needs flexible inbound routing and call-management tools alongside Freshworks integrations. The main trade-off is usage-based billing: plans include monthly minute allowances, but pay-as-you-go charges make call volume part of the cost decision.

It supports business numbers from more than 90 countries and bring-your-own-carrier connectivity. Agents can work from the web or Android and iOS apps, while two-way marketplace integrations connect Freshcaller with Freshdesk, Freshservice, and Freshworks CRM. Teams can also browse the Call Center Software and Business Phone Systems categories.

Key features

Routing and call handling

Team-, time-, and intent-based routing, queue callbacks, and routing automation give managers several ways to direct inbound calls. The auto attendant and advanced routing suit teams with multiple queues or caller intents; they are more capability than a small team with a simple call flow may need. Agents can hold, mute, transfer, conference, forward, and drop voicemail during calls.

Call intelligence and automation

Call recordings, post-call transcripts, call-lifecycle information, and live dashboards give teams material for reviewing conversations and monitoring activity. AI voice bots and speech-enabled IVR can handle repetitive queries and help reduce waiting, though speech-enabled IVR is reserved for Enterprise in the listed plans.

Freshdesk and wider integrations

Freshdesk users can place calls within the service and turn a call into a ticket with one click, which keeps call follow-up close to support work. Two-way marketplace integrations and links to Freshservice and Freshworks CRM also make it a natural option for organizations already using those tools.

Security and compliance

Freshworks says its services use AES 256-bit encryption at rest and HTTPS with TLS 1.2 in transit. Its Trust Center lists SOC 2 Type 2, ISO/IEC 27001:2022, ISO/IEC 27701:2019, SOC 3, PCI DSS v4.0.0, and other compliance resources. Freshworks says standalone Freshcaller is not PCI DSS applicable; its data stores are encrypted at rest and in transit, with controls audited against SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, and Cyber Essentials Plus.

Pricing

Freshcaller is freemium, with paid plans billed annually and pay-as-you-go per-minute charges. The 14-day trial opens access to all Enterprise Plan features, giving teams a chance to assess the full feature set before committing. Cancellation has no fee but takes effect at the end of the term.

Plan	Price and allowance	What it includes
Free	$0/agent/month, billed annually; unlimited agents, plus per-minute charges	Free entry point; plan details do not provide an included minute allowance.
Growth	$15.00 USD per month, billed annually; 2,000 incoming minutes/month	Number porting, wait queues, voicemail, warm and cold transfer, call recording, and day passes at $2/pass.
Pro	$39.00 USD per month, billed annually; 3,000 incoming minutes/month	Holiday routing, agent statuses, routing automation, call conferencing, smart escalations, and day passes at $7/pass.
Enterprise	$69.00 USD per month, billed annually; 5,000 incoming minutes/month	Speech-enabled IVR, agent statuses, abandoned-call metrics, service-level monitoring, and day passes at $12/pass.

The Free plan's unlimited agents make it possible to start without a per-seat subscription, but the per-minute billing means it is not cost-free at meaningful call volume. Growth is the lowest paid tier and adds a defined incoming-minute allowance plus core queue and recording tools. Pro is the step up for teams needing automation, holiday routing, and conferencing; Enterprise is aimed at operations that need speech-enabled IVR and service-level monitoring. Compare the included minutes with expected usage before choosing: pay-as-you-go charges remain relevant beyond the allowance.

Platforms

Freshcaller runs on the web and has Android and iOS apps. The mobile app supports iOS 10 and higher and Android 5.0 and higher, but is available only in English, which may rule it out for multilingual mobile teams.

Who it's for

Freshcaller is best suited to customer-facing teams that need configurable inbound call flows, queue management, and visibility into call activity, especially those already working in Freshdesk or other Freshworks products. Teams with substantial call volumes should weigh the monthly minute allowances and additional per-minute billing. It is less compelling for organizations seeking a simple phone line or mobile teams that require a non-English app.

Pros and cons

Pros: Routing by team, time, and intent, plus callbacks and automation, supports more complex inbound queues.
Pros: Recordings, transcripts, lifecycle information, and live dashboards give teams several ways to review call handling.
Pros: Unlimited agents on the Free plan lower the barrier to trying the service, and the 14-day trial includes Enterprise features.
Cons: Pay-as-you-go per-minute charges mean the Free plan and included paid minutes do not represent a fixed total cost.
Cons: The mobile app is English-only, limiting its suitability for teams that need another app language.
Cons: The annual billing terms and tiered minute allowances require a closer fit between plan and call volume than a flat, unlimited-minute offer would.

Verdict
