Overview

Shipday is delivery-management software for businesses coordinating their own drivers, outside delivery services, or a mix of both. It is best for teams that need dispatchers, drivers, and customers to stay connected through an order’s delivery. Its broad workflow and free starting tier are compelling, but monthly order allowances and account caps make the plan choice important.

Key features

Dispatch management, live tracking, and customer notifications connect the main stages of a delivery. Drivers use a mobile app to see order information and routes, send updates, chat, and record proof of delivery with a photo or signature. That makes Shipday a stronger fit for businesses that need delivery visibility and a record of handoff than for teams seeking route planning alone.

Shipday accommodates in-house drivers as well as built-in access to third-party delivery services, and it lists more than 100 integrated partners. Its AI features cover review automation, coaching, calls, dispatch, reports, and customer chat. These broaden the platform’s reach beyond basic dispatch, though the $19 entry tier should not be mistaken for the full AI suite.

Advanced route planning is promoted as capable of delivering up to 30% faster; that is a company claim, not a result to expect in every operation. API and webhook access is included with Professional, making that plan the relevant choice for teams that need those integration tools. Support is offered by phone, email, online chat, and in-app chat; phone hours are 9 am to 6 pm PST, Monday through Saturday.

Pricing

Shipday has a free plan and paid plans starting at $19 USD per month. The full platform is available for a 14-day trial without a credit card. The plans below are billed monthly:

Basic: $0.00 USD per month, free forever, with up to 300 orders per month, 10 driver accounts, and one dispatch account. It is a useful starting point for a small operation, but the order and dispatcher caps leave little room for growth.
Professional Lite: $19.00 USD per month, with 300 orders included and $0.04 per additional order; it has no order limit, 15 driver accounts, five dispatch/staff accounts, and five admin users. It raises the team limits substantially over Basic, but businesses exceeding the included volume pay for each extra order.
Professional: $39.00 USD per month, with 300 orders included and $0.04 per additional order, unlimited driver accounts, unlimited paid orders, and up to five users. API and webhook access make it the more appropriate tier for businesses integrating delivery into other systems. The limited user count may not suit larger staff teams.
Branded Premium: $39.00 USD per month, with 300 orders included, $0.04 per additional order, and up to 15 users. The higher user allowance can suit a wider staff group, but the stated order allowance still matters as volume grows.
Elite: $99.00 USD per month, with 300 orders per month and $0.20 per additional order. The overage rate is considerably higher than on the Professional plans, so it deserves scrutiny from teams whose volume may exceed the included orders.
Business AI: $349.00 USD per month, with 1,000 orders included and $0.25 per additional order. This tier is for operations willing to pay more for the AI-focused offering; overages make sustained volume above 1,000 orders costly.
Enterprise: starts at $2,499/month and includes multi-location delivery operations, enterprise security, the full AI Agents suite, and a dedicated team. It is aimed at larger operations rather than a small team comparing entry-level dispatch costs.

Basic’s fixed monthly cap makes it the lowest-cost option only while volume and dispatcher access remain within its limits. On paid tiers, compare the included order volume, extra-order rate, and user allowance together rather than choosing by starting price alone.

Platforms

Shipday is available on web, phone, and tablet, and its driver app is available on both major mobile platforms. API access is available, with API and webhook access included in Professional.

Who it's for

Shipday suits delivery businesses that need a shared workflow for dispatch, driver coordination, customer updates, tracking, and proof of delivery. Its free tier can serve a small team within the 300-order, 10-driver, and one-dispatch-account limits; growing teams can move to paid plans for more users or drivers. It is less compelling for a business that only needs route optimization or one that cannot predict the impact of per-order overages.

Pros and cons

Pros: Tracking, notifications, dispatch, and photo or signature proof of delivery cover the delivery journey in one workflow.
Pros: Support for in-house drivers and third-party delivery services, plus more than 100 integrated partners, gives mixed operations options for assigning deliveries.
Pros: A free plan and a 14-day full-platform trial without a credit card let smaller teams evaluate the workflow before committing.
Cons: Basic stops at 300 monthly orders, 10 drivers, and one dispatch account, so it is easy for a growing team to outgrow the free tier.
Cons: Paid plans include only 300 orders on most tiers and charge for additional volume; the overage rates vary, reaching $0.25 per order on Business AI.
Cons: The listed Professional plan allows up to five users despite unlimited drivers, a meaningful distinction for teams with many dispatch or office staff.

Alternatives

Verdict

Choose Shipday if your business needs dispatch, driver and customer visibility, and proof of delivery in the same delivery workflow, especially if its free tier fits your current volume. Its main advantage is breadth across in-house and third-party delivery; its main caution is that order overages and user caps can quickly change which plan makes sense.
