Overview

Secured Signing is a cloud service for electronic signatures, live video signing and remote online notarization. It is best suited to organizations that need structured signing workflows or notary services alongside document-signing tools. Its broad workflow and security options are balanced by a tight free-plan cap and pricing that differs across its business and notary offerings.

Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Sydney, the company serves businesses from small and medium-sized organizations to those needing high-volume signing and enterprise controls.

Key features

Signing workflows

Workflows cover signing alone or inviting others, setting a signing order, batch signing and document witnessing. Reminders and the ability to edit a process after sending are useful when a transaction changes or signers need follow-up. Invitees can sign without paying or creating an account, reducing friction for customers and other external participants.

Video signing and notarization

Video Signing supports signatures during real-time video calls, with identity verification and measures to prevent document changes. The service also supports electronic notarization, identity verification, audio-video sessions and storage for notarized records. These capabilities make it a plausible fit for organizations handling both ordinary signature requests and remote notary sessions.

Integrity, security and compliance

Secured Signing says it uses encryption for data at rest and in transit, and reports SOC 2 Type II compliance and ISO/IEC 27001 certification. Its Notary offering uses PKI X509 digital signature encryption; a change to a signed document invalidates its signatures. The platform aligns with ESIGN Act and UETA requirements in North America and is compliant with eIDAS for Europe. Those safeguards are relevant for sensitive workflows, though they do not replace an organization's own compliance review.

Integrations and API

Connections include Bullhorn, Tracker, Duo, Okta, Active Directory Federation Services and Microsoft Entra ID. The REST API uses JSON, supports API key or OAuth2 authentication, and includes a .NET/C# client SDK and webhook callback. That gives technical teams a route to integrate signing into business workflows; the Business plan's integration access is described as limited, so organizations should weigh that against the API and enterprise options they need.

Pricing

The free account costs 0.00 USD per free and allows three documents per month, with no credit card required. It is suitable for occasional use or an initial evaluation, but the cap is restrictive for routine signing.

The Notary Business Annual Plan costs 361430.00 USD per year (billed $430 Billed Annually). It includes 50 Secured Signing Credits, 600 document uploads, no setup fee and free onboarding. Extra users cost $10 per month (up to 10), $120 billed annually. This is the clearest published notary option for a business with recurring volume within those upload limits; the annual commitment and credit allowance make it less suited to sporadic use. Notary plans include email support, eLearning training and live weekly class training.

Business has custom pricing, with plans starting from as little as USD $9.95 per user, per month and USD $1.5 per document. It includes unlimited signatures and invitees, bulk sending and broadcasting, templates, form filling, reminders and notifications, plus limited integration. The per-user and per-document charges matter when estimating costs, even though signatures are described as unlimited. This plan is aimed at small and medium-sized businesses.

Enterprise has custom pricing and adds an admin portal, management reports, user account management, a single bill or cost centre, private labelling, an accounts management system and SSO. It is intended for high-volume signing and organizations that need centralized administration or enterprise features.

Notary Enterprise also has custom pricing. It includes an enterprise admin portal, one bill or cost centre, SSO, customized branding, user account management, management reports, multiple-team collaboration and MISMO compliance. It is the more relevant notary option for organizations needing these controls, rather than a fixed-price annual package.

Platforms

Secured Signing supports Android, iOS, macOS, Windows and web, as well as an API. Mobile support is through mobile web.

Who it's for

Choose Secured Signing if your organization needs more than basic e-signatures: ordered or batch workflows, witnesses, live video signing, or remote notarization can all sit within the same service. The API, identity integrations and enterprise controls also suit teams connecting signing to existing business systems. For occasional personal use, the three-document monthly free limit may suffice, but users with regular needs should compare the paid structure carefully.

Pros and cons

Pros: Signers do not need accounts or paid access, which makes external signature collection easier.
Pros: Signing, video signing and remote notarization cover a wider range of document workflows than a basic signature tool.
Pros: API authentication choices, webhooks and named identity integrations give technical teams ways to connect workflows.
Cons: The free account is capped at three documents per month, limiting its usefulness for regular business signing.
Cons: Business pricing combines per-user and per-document charges, so costs can depend on both team size and activity.
Cons: The annual Notary Business plan's 600-upload limit and annual billing may not suit variable or low-volume usage.

Verdict

Secured Signing is a strong fit for businesses that need structured signing, video identity verification or remote notarization, especially when API access and enterprise controls matter. Its broad workflow and security features are the main reasons to choose it; the three-document free limit and pricing tied to seats, documents or annual notary volume are the main reasons to look elsewhere if usage is light or unpredictable.
