Overview

Eightfold Talent Intelligence is an enterprise talent platform for organizations that want to connect recruiting, employee development, and workforce planning. It is best suited to HR teams coordinating those processes across a complex workforce; its breadth is compelling, but custom pricing makes a fit assessment essential.

Its suite spans Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Workforce Exchange, Resource Management, and TalentForge. Skills, capabilities, aspirations, and work signals help inform talent decisions across the organization. Founded in 2016, Eightfold is headquartered in Santa Clara, California.

Key features

Hiring and candidate experience

Talent Acquisition supports recruiting from requisition through selection, matching candidates to roles by skills, capabilities, potential, fit, and work context. Candidate relationship management, university and event recruiting, career-site tools, nurture, scheduling, SMS, multichannel messaging, and a chatbot round out the workflow. That range can help teams coordinate candidate engagement as well as sourcing, though organizations should judge whether it matches their existing recruiting processes.

Employee development and planning

Talent Management connects employees’ skills and aspirations with their work to identify internal mobility, upskilling, talent marketplace, and redeployment opportunities. Skills-gap analysis, learning recommendations, career-path building, a built-in skills taxonomy, labor-market data, and workforce planning support a broader view of talent needs. This is useful for employers trying to develop and redeploy talent internally, not just fill vacancies.

Applications and integrations

TalentForge lets organizations build low-code or custom-code talent applications, which Eightfold says can be deployed in weeks. That flexibility may suit organizations with specialized workflows, but building applications is an option rather than a reason every buyer should choose the platform. Integration options include APIs, webhooks, a data warehouse, an app marketplace, and prebuilt adapters; REST APIs can exchange data with Eightfold and other ATS, HRIS, and LMS systems.

Security and oversight

Eightfold says it has FedRAMP Moderate authorization, SOC 2 Type II attestation, and ISO 42001, 27001, 27017, and 27701 certifications. It says customer-identifiable data is not used to train its models, customers control retention, residency, and deletion, and data is hosted on AWS with regional residency controls. The company also describes TLS 1.2-or-higher encryption in transit, AES-256 at rest, SSO/SAML, MFA, and role- and attribute-based access controls. It says AI supports decisions while people make hiring decisions, and publishes independent bias-audit results under NYC Local Law 144. Security reports, certificates, and penetration-test summaries can be requested through its Trust Portal.

Pricing

Eightfold is paid software with custom pricing. Prospective customers can request information or a demo, and a self-guided tour is offered. This enterprise sales model means buyers will need to establish scope and cost directly; there is no published plan comparison or price to use for an initial budget benchmark.

Implementation, training, adoption support, and on-demand education are available through Eightfold’s professional services team. Organizations should weigh that support alongside the work of fitting a broad platform and its integrations to their workforce processes.

Platforms

Eightfold supports Android, iOS, and web, and provides API access. That mix serves users across mobile and browser environments while also supporting system integration.

Who it's for

Eightfold describes its users as HR leaders, recruiters, people managers, employees, and candidates. It is most relevant to organizations that want one platform to connect hiring with internal development and workforce planning. Teams seeking only a narrower recruiting or career-pathing tool may find its breadth unnecessary; compare Career Pathing Software and Candidate Experience Software.

Pros and cons

Pros: Hiring, development, and workforce planning sit within one suite, giving organizations a way to connect candidate matching with internal mobility and skills planning.
Pros: Multiple integration routes, including APIs and prebuilt adapters, accommodate connections to ATS, HRMS, HRIS, and LMS ecosystems.
Pros: Published security controls and certifications, customer control over data retention and residency, and stated human oversight of hiring decisions address important enterprise concerns.
Cons: Custom pricing requires direct scoping, so buyers cannot compare published tiers or prices before contacting the vendor.
Cons: The product’s breadth can mean more platform than a team needs if its priority is a single talent workflow.

Alternatives

Talentware is a paid alternative with API and web platforms. Draup is also paid and supports API and web. Reejig offers Work OS for 250000.00 USD per year, billed $250,000.00 per 12 months, on a 12-month contract with a single contract dimension priced in Units; consider it if that stated plan and term suit your procurement needs.

Lightcast Labor Market Intelligence is paid software with API and web platforms; its price depends on organizational needs and goals, with software subscriptions, consulting, and data delivery options. 365Talents is a paid API and web platform whose pricing depends on workforce size, selected modules, integrations, and support tier; modules are priced individually, standard connectors are included, and commitments of 3 to 5 years are offered.

aTalent is a paid web platform with a custom enterprise plan and demo-based purchasing. Beamery is a paid API and web platform; subscription fees can depend on contacts, email sends, users, products, and additional features. Censia is a paid API and web option with no free plan or free trial; its listed plans include a proprietary-data-silo tier at 250.00 USD per month, billed per month, including 1000 Transaction, and a Workforce Intelligence user-seat plan at 4500.00 USD per year.

Verdict

Choose Eightfold if your organization needs to connect recruiting, employee growth, and workforce planning around skills, with integration options and enterprise security controls. Its strongest case is the breadth of that connected talent suite; look elsewhere if you need a narrowly focused tool or require transparent pricing before engaging a vendor.
