Overview

ProcessMind brings BPMN 2.0 modeling, event-data analysis, and simulation into one cloud platform. Teams can document a process, examine how it behaves in practice, and model possible changes without separating those tasks across products. Mining includes conformance checking, root-cause analysis, process monitoring, and ERP connectors. Data refresh is manual, however, so teams should not expect a continuously updated view.

The platform runs in a modern browser without installation and also offers an API. Customer data is hosted exclusively on AWS in Frankfurt, Germany, within the EU. Data in transit uses TLS 1.2 or higher, while databases and storage are encrypted at rest with AES-256. Its documented security measures include GDPR, EU data residency, AWS infrastructure certifications for ISO 27001 and SOC 2, standard contractual clauses, and a Data Processing Addendum. ProcessMind is cloud-native and has no on-premises deployment option.

Key features

Modeling and collaboration: The BPMN 2.0 editor provides automatic layouts, AI model generation, and real-time collaboration. These tools support shared process design, though the Free plan has only one member.
Mining and analysis: Event data is used to identify actual process behavior, bottlenecks, variants, and deviations. Conformance checking and root-cause analysis add ways to investigate performance, while manual refresh makes this better suited to periodic analysis than automatic live updates.
Simulation: Simulation and animation let teams explore process behavior and potential changes. They are included in Process Intelligence and Enterprise, not the lower paid tiers.
AI: AI capabilities include generation, an assistant, summaries, insights, recommendations, and simulation settings. Monthly AI credit allowances rise with the paid plans, so heavier use may call for a higher tier or Enterprise's custom volumes.
Integration: REST APIs handle data and configuration, and webhooks notify external systems. The MCP server is reserved for Enterprise.
Support and uptime: Support is available through in-app channels or support@processmind.com. Eligible paid production subscriptions have an SLA targeting 99.9% monthly uptime.

Pricing

ProcessMind uses a freemium model, with a 14-day trial and four paid plans priced monthly. The pricing note gives a starting point of €24.65/user/mo (annual), while the plan prices below are monthly billed amounts.

Plan	Price	What it includes	Best fit
Free	0.00 EUR per free	One member with full process access, unlimited models, and 20 AI credits/month; no additional seats or free viewer seats.	A single user evaluating the core platform or maintaining models alone.
Process Foundation	29.00 EUR per month, billed monthly	BPMN 2.0 modeling, collaboration, process catalog, AI generation and assistant, 500 AI credits/month, 10 free viewer seats per paid seat, and SSO.	Teams focused on process modeling that need collaboration and stakeholder access.
Process Architecture	99.00 EUR per month, billed monthly	Process Foundation capabilities, process architecture, value stream mapping, documentation and artifacts, RACI, governance, portal, RBAC, full audit logs, and 2,000 AI credits/month.	Organizations that need governance, structured architecture, and audit visibility.
Process Intelligence	299.00 EUR per month, billed monthly	Process Architecture capabilities, dashboards, mining, variant analysis, process compare, simulation, animation, health scores, custom branding, and 5,000 AI credits/month.	Teams that need analysis and simulation as well as modeling and governance.
Enterprise	Custom pricing	Unlimited viewer seats on fair use, custom AI credit volumes, a dedicated environment, priority support, and MCP server.	Organizations needing a dedicated environment, larger viewer access, or MCP.

Free keeps the full process access to one member and offers no viewer seats, making it a solo option rather than a team tier. Foundation adds collaboration and viewer seats but not mining or simulation; those arrive with Process Intelligence. The plan prices are billed monthly, while the pricing note's lower starting figure is tied to an annual term. The 14-day trial gives a short evaluation window before a paid commitment.

Platforms

ProcessMind is delivered through the web and provides an API. Browser access avoids installation, but the cloud-only model rules it out for organizations that require on-premises hosting.

Who it's for

ProcessMind is a strong candidate for process modelers, process architects, and analysts who want design, mining, and simulation under one roof. Viewer seats on paid tiers help bring stakeholders into the process catalog, while architecture and governance capabilities make higher tiers more relevant to organizations standardizing process work. It is less suitable for a solo user who needs multiple collaborators on the free tier, teams expecting automatic data refresh, or buyers with an on-premises requirement.

Pros and cons

Pro: Modeling, mining, and simulation are combined, so teams can connect process documentation with analysis and scenario work.
Pro: Foundation includes 10 free viewer seats per paid seat, offering a practical way to involve stakeholders without making every viewer a paid member.
Pro: EU hosting, encryption at rest and in transit, and documented compliance measures address important data-handling needs.
Con: The Free plan allows just one member and no viewer seats, limiting its usefulness for team evaluation.
Con: Manual data refresh means mining results do not update automatically.
Con: Cloud-only deployment excludes organizations that must host the platform on premises.
Con: Mining and simulation require the €299.00 EUR per month Process Intelligence tier or custom-priced Enterprise.

Alternatives

Mindzie Process Mining is worth considering if desktop access or self-hosting matters: its Free Desktop Edition offers full functionality for up to 1,000 cases with no time-limited trial, and it supports macOS, Windows, web, API, and self-hosting.

Apromore Process Mining may suit buyers seeking a self-hosted option; its Enterprise plan is an annual subscription with unlimited logs and process models, and it offers a free plan and trial.

ABBYY Timeline is a paid alternative with a 30-day trial offering unlimited access, and supports self-hosting as well as web and desktop platforms.

ARIS is another paid alternative.

QPR ProcessAnalyzer may fit buyers looking for a paid platform with a 30-day free trial; guidance and expert support are available during the trial at no cost and without obligation.

iGrafx Process360 Live is an enterprise process-intelligence alternative combining process mining, design, and simulation, with commercial details available through sales.

ServiceNow Process Mining is another paid, web-based process-mining option.

Verdict

Choose ProcessMind if your team wants BPMN modeling, process mining, and simulation in a single browser-based platform, with governance features and stakeholder viewing available as needs grow. Its strongest case is that joined-up workflow; look elsewhere if you need automatic refresh, on-premises deployment, or a lower-cost tier that includes mining and simulation.
