Overview

Hunter brings several distinct jobs together: Domain Search and Email Finder locate professional addresses, Email Verifier checks them, Discover filters a B2B lead database, and Sequences automates cold emails with open tracking. That breadth is useful when a team wants to move from company research to outreach without switching tools. It is less compelling for buyers who need only one narrow function and would prefer to compare specialist options.

Domain Search results include where and when contact data was found, and Hunter says its database draws on public web sources. People can claim an address to edit associated fields or request removal of the address and related data. The Chrome extension surfaces email addresses, names and social profiles tied to a website, while integrations include Pipedrive, Zoho CRM, Outlook, Google Sheets, Zapier, Make, Clay and Snowflake.

Key features

Discovery and verification

Domain Search, Email Finder and Email Verifier cover finding and checking professional addresses. Discover adds market-segmentation filters to identify companies and leads, giving prospecting teams a way to narrow searches before outreach. Free users get Basic Discover filters and 50 monthly credits; paid tiers add auto-verification and lead enrichment, which are more useful for teams handling larger or recurring prospecting workloads.

Outreach and integrations

Sequences automates cold email and tracks opens. A single connected email account and a 500-recipient sequence ceiling on Free can support a small trial, but are tight constraints for regular campaigns. Paid plans raise connected-account limits, from three on Starter to twenty on Scale. Integrations with CRMs, spreadsheets, automation services and data tools can fit Hunter into an existing workflow rather than making it the only system a team uses.

Security and support

Hunter says its services run on Google Cloud Platform in Belgium and that customer data stored there is encrypted at all times. It also describes access controls, risk-based security assessments, vulnerability scans, penetration tests and an ongoing bug bounty program. Free accounts receive regular support; paid tiers receive priority support, and Scale and Enterprise include an account manager.

Pricing

Hunter is freemium, with no free trial. The Free plan costs 0.00 EUR per free, billed monthly. It includes 50 monthly credits, Basic Discover filters, one connected email account and 500 recipients per sequence. CSV exports are capped at 10 emails per domain. Those limits make Free a reasonable way to explore the workflow, but a poor fit for sustained list building or broader exports.

Starter has custom pricing and includes 2,000 monthly credits, auto-verification, lead enrichment and three connected email accounts. It is the entry point for a small team that needs more than Free’s single account and basic filters. Growth also has custom pricing, with 10,000 monthly credits and ten connected accounts; it fits higher-volume teams. Scale has custom pricing, 25,000 monthly credits, twenty connected accounts and an account manager, making it the clearest fit for larger outreach operations. Enterprise uses custom credit volume and connected-account counts, also with an account manager, for organizations needing terms tailored to their scale.

For bulk purchases, Data Platform bulk credits cost 6500.00 USD per once and include 1,000 Search credits and 200,000 Verification credits. They can be used for up to 12 months from purchase. This option is aimed at buyers with a specific bulk verification or search requirement, rather than teams seeking a monthly outreach subscription.

Platforms

Hunter is available on the web, through an API and as an extension. The Chrome extension can find addresses, names and social profiles associated with a website; API access gives teams another route to use Hunter in connected systems.

Who it's for

Hunter is a strong fit for email-led sales, recruiting and marketing teams that need to identify business contacts, check addresses and run cold-email sequences in one platform. Its mix of discovery, enrichment and integrations is most valuable when those tasks form a regular workflow. A solo user or occasional researcher may find Free sufficient for a small number of searches, but the monthly credits, per-domain export cap and one-account limit quickly constrain broader use.

Pros and cons

Pros: Combines address discovery, verification, lead filtering and automated cold email, reducing the need to assemble separate tools for those stages.
Pros: Search results include data-source context, and people can request edits or removal of their address and related data.
Pros: Integrations span CRM, spreadsheet, automation and data platforms, supporting use alongside existing systems.
Cons: Free’s 50 monthly credits, 10-email-per-domain CSV export limit and one connected email account make it restrictive beyond light use.
Cons: Starter, Growth and Scale have custom pricing, so buyers cannot compare their subscription cost from the plan amounts alone.

Alternatives

For a narrower comparison, browse Email Finder Software, Email Outreach Software, Email Scheduling Software or B2B Contact Data Providers.

Verdict

Choose Hunter if your team wants email discovery, verification, filtered B2B prospecting and cold-email sequences in one platform, with integrations to connect it to other systems. Its main drawback is the divide between a tightly capped free tier and paid plans with custom pricing. If those limits or the bundled workflow do not suit your needs, compare a more focused email-finding or outreach option before committing.
