Overview

Cutout.Pro is an image tool for removing or replacing backgrounds, with manual touch-ups for imperfect cutouts. It suits sellers and creators who process images in batches or need API access; occasional users can preview results before paying. Its credit system is flexible, but the right plan depends on how often you need full-resolution downloads.

Key features

Background removal and replacement: Use it to isolate a subject or give an image a different background. PNG and JPG exports cover common output needs.
Manual refinement: The Erase & Restore brush can recover clipped foreground details or remove background areas the automatic process missed. That control is useful when an automatic cutout needs correction, though it adds a manual step.
Batch processing: Batch work is supported, and the Windows and Mac desktop apps process folders. This makes Cutout.Pro a more practical fit for repeated catalog work than a one-image-at-a-time workflow.
API access: An API option supports integrating the service into other workflows.
Preview and file limits: Each upload gets a low-resolution, watermark-free preview without an account or credits. Inputs can be JPG, PNG, WEBP, or BMP, up to 15 MB and 4096 × 4096 pixels. An HD download costs one credit.
Privacy: Cutout.Pro says images are processed securely, deleted automatically, and not stored or shared.

Pricing

Cutout.Pro is freemium. New accounts receive five credits without providing a credit card, and the free preview lets you assess an upload before spending credits. One credit buys one HD image download, so the signup allowance is best treated as a small evaluation budget rather than an ongoing quota.

Monthly subscriptions range from 5.00 USD per month for 80 credits to 69.00 USD per month for 1450 credits. The middle tiers are 170 credits for 9.90 USD per month, 300 for 16.90 USD per month, 550 for 29.00 USD per month, and 1000 for 49.00 USD per month. These suit recurring work: the smallest tier fits modest monthly volumes, while larger allowances better match regular batch processing. Subscription credits can roll over up to five times the monthly budget, which offers some room for uneven workloads.

Pay-as-you-go packages are priced at 4.99 USD per month for 30 credits, 39.00 USD per month for 300, 79.00 USD per month for 900, 199.00 USD per month for 3000, 1399.00 USD per month for 30000, and 37500.00 USD per month for 5000000. Volume packages let buyers use credits at their own pace, making them an alternative to a monthly allowance for irregular demand. Main-platform credit purchases have a 14-day refund guarantee; credits bought through the Shopify App are non-refundable, so channel matters when choosing where to buy.

Platforms

Cutout.Pro supports web, Android, iOS, Windows, Mac, Linux, and API access. Folder-based batch processing is specifically supported by the Windows and Mac desktop apps.

Who it's for

Cutout.Pro is a sensible choice for online sellers, designers, or teams handling repeated product-image cleanup, especially when folder batching or an API connection matters. The free preview and five signup credits give occasional users a low-commitment way to assess it. It is less compelling for someone who needs only a few occasional exports and prefers not to manage credits, or whose source images exceed the 15 MB or 4096 × 4096 limits.

Pros and cons

Pros: Watermark-free previews require no account or credits, and five signup credits allow a small number of HD downloads without a card.
Pros: Batch processing, folder support on Windows and Mac, and API access provide options for higher-volume workflows.
Pros: Manual refinement can address missed background or clipped subject areas rather than forcing users to accept the initial cutout.
Cons: The five free credits are limited, and each HD download consumes one credit.
Cons: Input files are capped at 15 MB and 4096 × 4096 pixels, excluding larger source images.
Cons: Shopify App credits do not qualify for the stated refund guarantee.
