Overview

Gong Forecast is revenue forecasting software for sales teams that want AI predictions alongside rep and manager forecast submissions. It is best for organizations already using Salesforce or HubSpot; its strongest appeal is combining account and deal signals with team forecasts, while its custom pricing and narrow CRM support limit who should shortlist it.

Key features

Configurable forecast boards draw on CRM fields for actuals, open deals, and forecast categories, and connect Gong and CRM data in real time. Reps, sales managers, and managers of managers can submit their own or their team's numbers. This shared workflow can make forecast ownership clearer across a sales organization, rather than leaving the number solely to managers.

The forecasting workflow includes submissions, Forecast Analytics, an AI Deal Predictor, and an AI Revenue Predictor. Gong says its predictions use more than 300 signals and deliver 20% more precision than algorithms based on CRM data. That stated advantage may matter to teams seeking signals beyond CRM fields, but it is not a guarantee of improved results for every organization.

Forecast Essentials includes unlimited Deal Boards and Account Boards, plus AI Deal Reviewer, Win/Loss Insights, and Deal Drivers. Account Boards consolidate account views to help teams assess health, spot risk, protect renewals, and find expansion opportunities. The breadth is useful for teams that need account oversight alongside forecasting; it is less compelling if the priority is only a basic pipeline forecast.

Forecast submission reminders appear in Gong and, when the company has a Slack integration, in Slack. Gong also includes call recording, transcription, conversation intelligence, deal-risk alerts, pipeline trend analysis, recommended actions, forecast customization, and historical data import. Customer data is not used to train generative models, and Gong lists SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 among its certifications and attestations.

Pricing

Gong Forecast is paid, with custom pricing. The Gong Forecast plan uses per-user licenses and a platform fee based on the number of users supported, with a customized proposal. That structure makes the total dependent on team size and requires a sales conversation before buyers can compare costs. There is no free plan, so teams seeking a no-cost way to evaluate the product should look elsewhere.

Platforms

Gong Forecast is available on Android, iOS, and the web. Its CRM support is limited to Salesforce and HubSpot, making CRM compatibility a practical prerequisite rather than a minor consideration.

Who it's for

Gong Forecast fits sales organizations using Salesforce or HubSpot that want reps and managers to work from a shared forecast process, with AI deal and revenue predictions and account-level risk views. It is a poor fit for teams on other CRMs, or buyers who need transparent pricing or a free plan before committing to a vendor conversation.

Pros and cons

Pros: Forecast boards combine CRM and Gong real-time data with submissions from reps and managers, supporting a shared forecast workflow.
Pros: Deal prediction, revenue prediction, account boards, and deal-risk tools cover more than forecast rollups alone.
Pros: Gong says customer data is never used to train generative models and cites SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 attestations.
Cons: Salesforce and HubSpot are the only supported CRMs, excluding teams built around other systems.
Cons: Custom pricing, per-user licenses, and a user-count-based platform fee make costs harder to assess without a proposal.
Cons: There is no free plan for teams that want to evaluate the product without a paid commitment.

Verdict

Choose Gong Forecast if your sales organization runs Salesforce or HubSpot and needs a shared forecasting workflow that brings AI deal signals and account views into the process. Its broad forecasting toolkit is the main reason to choose it; the CRM restriction and custom, user-based pricing are strong reasons to look elsewhere if compatibility or budget clarity comes first.
