Overview

ChMeetings is church administration software for congregations that want people management, giving, events, worship planning, and accounting in one system. Its broad toolset and people-based plans make it a strong fit for churches replacing several separate workflows; the free plan is useful for a small congregation, but its caps and possible messaging charges deserve attention.

Launched in 2018 by Jios Apps Inc, a U.S.-based software company, ChMeetings combines administrative records with tools for services, volunteers, and attendees. It belongs in Church Management Software and its scheduling features also suit churches comparing Church Scheduling Software.

Key features

People, groups, and giving

Member profiles, bulk management, group management, and an online or printable directory cover common congregation-record tasks. Churches can track member and guest contributions made online or offline, run pledge campaigns, and export or print donation statements. Payment information is limited to what ChMeetings says is strictly necessary, such as the last four card digits; PayPal and Stripe process payment data.

Events and worship

Event tools span free and paid registration, volunteer scheduling, attendance tracking, QR check-in, child check-in, and name-tag printing. This breadth can connect event administration with attendance capture, while the worship planner handles service orders, song libraries, and worship-team role schedules. Churches seeking event and service coordination alongside records and giving have less reason to assemble separate tools.

Accounting, integrations, and safeguards

The accounting module covers fund tracking, bank transaction syncing, budgets, financial reports, and check printing. Integrations include Stripe, PayPal, BlueSnap, Paystack, Mailchimp, Twilio, SMS Global, Clickatell, Eazismspro, Bulk SMS Nigeria, Zeffy, Zapier, and the ChMeetings API. ChMeetings says it runs on Microsoft Azure, encrypts data in transit and at rest, and backs up data daily. Data is stored in the United States, with no customer choice of residency region. Its privacy controls include GDPR compliance measures, optional two-factor authentication, role-based access, and account activity logs; access-log reports are limited to paid users.

Pricing

The free plan is billed Free Forever at 0.00 USD per free and supports 50 people and 50 donations per month. That is a practical starting point for a small church with modest donation volume, but both ceilings can become constraints as the congregation or giving activity grows.

V. Small: 12.00 USD per month for 100 people.
Small: 25.00 USD per month for 250 people.
Medium: 40.00 USD per month for 500 people.
Large: 50.00 USD per month for 1,000 people.
Unlimited: 60.00 USD per month for unlimited people.

Paid plans are billed monthly, with annual billing offered at 10 months instead of 12. The ascending tiers mainly buy room for more people, so smaller congregations need not pay for a higher ceiling, while a church that would otherwise outgrow the 1,000-person tier can avoid a person cap with Unlimited. Only active people count against the limit. Voice and text messages initiated through ChMeetings or the branded church app can cost extra, so messaging use may add to plan costs. Support is included on every plan through phone, live chat, email, support ticket, and help center; free onboarding and training are also offered. The service has a 30-day trial.

Platforms

ChMeetings supports Android, iOS, web access, and an API. Its mobile app is available on Android and iOS; the desktop service runs in a browser or can optionally be installed as a desktop app. That mix supports staff and members using phones while administrators work in a browser.

Who it's for

ChMeetings is best suited to churches that want records, contributions, event check-in, worship-team scheduling, and accounting under one roof, especially where the active-person limits match congregation size. Smaller churches can begin on the free plan, while growing congregations can scale through defined paid tiers. It is a weaker fit for organizations that need to choose a data-residency region or expect frequent messaging without extra charges.

Pros and cons

Pro: People, giving, events, worship planning, and accounting share one platform, reducing the need to coordinate these specific church workflows across separate products.
Pro: Free Forever access and paid tiers from 12.00 USD per month give churches several capacity steps, with only active people counting toward the plan limit.
Pro: Support is included on every plan, and onboarding and training are free, giving churches help during setup without reserving those services for a higher tier.
Con: The free plan stops at 50 people and 50 donations per month, which may force a growing or high-giving church onto a paid tier.
Con: Messaging can cost extra, so the advertised monthly plan price may not represent the full cost for churches that rely on voice or text campaigns.
Con: Customer data stays in the United States and customers cannot choose another residency region, ruling it out for churches with different data-location requirements.
Con: Access-log reports are paid-user only, so free users do not get that reporting capability.

Alternatives

Planning Center is worth comparing for churches that prefer separate free tools with explicit limits: its Calendar plan includes one room, People offers an unlimited database and reporting, and Services allows five team members. Tithely Giving is a stronger candidate when giving is the priority: its Free Giving plan has no monthly fees and unlimited donations, though transaction fees apply; a Giving + Church Management plan is also offered at 72.00 USD per month.

Faith Teams offers a free account for up to 100 active people, with online giving to be activated within 30 days of sign-up. ChurchTrac is an alternative with a 75-people plan at 29.00 USD per month and a 125-people plan at 39.00 USD per month, and no free plan. ChurchPlan, Rock RMS, Asoriba, and ChurchCMS are other options to compare.

Verdict

Choose ChMeetings if your church wants one system for people, giving, events, worship planning, and accounting, with a plan tier that can grow from 50 people to unlimited. Its main trade-offs are possible messaging charges and fixed U.S. data residency; churches that cannot accept either should look elsewhere.
