Overview

Ivalua brings contract creation, negotiation, execution, and renewal into a shared workspace. Procurement and legal teams can collaborate on drafts, comment, track versions, and route review and approval workflows. The repository ties contract terms and obligations to stakeholders, risk, pricing, and performance, making it useful for enterprise-wide oversight rather than document storage alone.

Its wider procurement connections are a practical advantage for organizations that want contract work informed by sourcing, supplier, order, invoice, and spend data. That breadth is less compelling if a team only needs a basic contract repository or signing tool.

Key features

Authoring and contract intelligence

AI-assisted authoring supports clause drafting and classification, risk assessment, approvals, e-signatures, and real-time collaboration using approved templates and clause libraries. This gives legal and procurement teams a shared basis for drafting and review, while AI risk scoring can flag clauses that may conflict with policy. Audit trails, version history, and workflows support audit readiness and policy enforcement.

Repository and digitization

Full-text, metadata, and AI-enhanced search help teams find contracts and terms across a central repository. Contract summaries and a Contract 360 view bring together versions, obligations, stakeholders, risk, pricing, and performance. AI can convert PDF and Word files into structured, searchable data and extract key terms, obligations, and clauses, including during mass import of legacy contracts. That can make a large inherited contract collection more useful, though it is a broader capability than a team with few contracts may need.

Analytics and connected procurement

Dashboards track contract health, compliance, risk, performance, cycle time, value, and consumption, with supplier and contract risk alerts. Native integration with Ivalua sourcing and procure-to-pay connects contract processes to sourcing, supplier, order, invoice, and spend data. Prebuilt ERP connectors include SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft through the Integration Hub, while DocuSign and Adobe Sign have out-of-the-box integrations. These connections suit organizations seeking coordinated processes; buyers with a narrow CLM requirement may not benefit from the wider platform footprint.

Security, mobile, and support

Ivalua describes its platform as multi-instance SaaS and reports ISO 27001 certification, SOC 1 and SOC 2 reports, SSAE 18 SOC 1 Type 2, and HIPAA. Customer data is hosted in a client-selected geography, with additional encryption, network, and disaster-recovery options. Ivalua describes procurement experiences as mobile-ready and lists mobile tasks as a platform capability. Support includes a 24×7 multilingual helpdesk by phone, email, and online, a customer ticketing portal, Ivalua Community, and Academy eLearning and partner certification.

Pricing

Ivalua Contract Lifecycle Management is paid enterprise CLM with custom pricing; contact Ivalua for pricing. No fixed seat price, free plan, or trial terms are provided. The plan includes approval workflows, purchase orders, supplier management, hosted catalog support, a supplier portal, guided request intake, supplier discovery, sourcing events, reverse auctions, bid comparison, negotiation workflows, multi-event support, supplier onboarding, qualification workflows, document expiry alerts, and performance scorecards. That scope makes the offer relevant to organizations evaluating contract management alongside broader procurement capabilities, but buyers should weigh the full scope against their actual requirements.

Platforms

Ivalua lists Android, iOS, web, and API platforms. Mobile-ready procurement experiences and mobile tasks support access beyond desktop use, while the product's integrations connect it with enterprise systems and e-signature services.

Who it's for

This is best suited to larger organizations where procurement and legal need shared contract workflows, searchable contract intelligence, risk oversight, and links to sourcing and procure-to-pay operations. It is less suited to teams that want only basic document storage or contract signing, or that need a public fixed price to compare a small standalone purchase.

Pros and cons

Pros

Shared legal and procurement workflows: comments, version tracking, and automated review and approval keep contract work coordinated across the intended teams.
Useful contract visibility: search, summaries, Contract 360, and analytics connect terms and obligations to risk, performance, and value.
Strong procurement connections: native Ivalua links, ERP connectors, and DocuSign and Adobe Sign integrations can reduce separation between contract, sourcing, and transactional work.
Enterprise controls: certifications and reports, client-selected data geography, and configurable security and recovery options address common enterprise governance needs.

Cons

Custom pricing: buyers cannot compare a published price or assess a fixed seat cost upfront.
Broad scope: organizations wanting only a lightweight repository or signing workflow may be paying attention to capabilities they do not need.
Enterprise orientation: the shared, cross-functional workflow model is a stronger match for organization-wide processes than for a small team with isolated contract needs.

Alternatives

For broader sourcing and procurement choices, compare Sourcing Software, Procurement Software, Procure-to-Pay Software, Supplier Portal Software, Contract Lifecycle Management Software, and Supplier Onboarding Software.

SAFAL Strategic Sourcing is a paid web option.
Keelvar offers a paid enterprise-scale sourcing platform for web and API; consider it when sourcing, rather than contract lifecycle management, is the main requirement.
Oracle Procurement Contracts is a paid API and web option with no free plan or trial; its Procurement Contracts plan is 405.00 USD per month, billed per user/per month, and includes Supplier Management and Transactional Business Intelligence for Procurement. Consider it when that published per-user pricing and stated procurement-contract scope better fit your purchasing needs.

Verdict

Choose Ivalua Contract Management if procurement and legal need a shared enterprise CLM connected to sourcing, supplier, and procure-to-pay processes. Its combination of authoring, repository intelligence, analytics, and integrations is the central reason to choose it. Look elsewhere if you need a narrow, low-cost contract tool or require predictable published pricing before engaging a vendor.
